Edward's pov
It's been about ten years since I turned Bella into a vampire. Everything has been really good. Renesmee looks about sixteen and is still with that mutt. We have moved to Kauai, Hawaii. We stayed there for three years. Then we went to Tutunendo, Colombia, and stayed there for three years. After that, we went to another place in Hawaii. That's when Bella got a letter in the mail from Charlie. He married Sue and they were going to be living in New York City for a while. We decided to move back to forks for a while.
Here we are, me and the others getting ready for Renesmee's birthday. She and Alice are picking out an outfit for the party. Bella and I are hanging a banner; Esme is making a small cake for her and Jacob. Carlisle is in his studies. Rosalie is hanging lights and Emmet is organizing presents.
There was suddenly a knock at the door. Everyone stopped what they were doing and came to the center of the living room.
"That's strange, I never heard a car pull up," Carlisle said.
"I didn't hear any footsteps either."Esme said.
"Well, I can't see anything."
"I'll get it," I said so they won't be waiting too long. That way we can get back to this party.
As I was going to the door Bella followed me. I didn't bother to stop her. Everyone was staring at us.
"Hello?" I answered the door. There was a girl that looked like a young fifteen year old. She had light brown hair and green eyes. Her hair was about three inches longer then her shoulders. She smelt like a combination between vanilla and fruit. I've never smelt anything like it before. She can't possibly be a vampire with the features she has.
"Hi, umm is Carlisle there?"
"No, he's not, sorry"
I started to shut the door, but she put her hand out.
"Nice try Edward, but you aren't fooling me."
What, she knows my name?
Edward, why don't you let me speak to her.-Carlisle
What is going on? -Emmet
I still can't see anything. -Alice
She feels confident and humor. Hey, Bella is getting angrier and angrier every second.-Jasper
I wonder how beautiful she is?-Rose
You should invite her in Edward.-Esme
Edward, I want her out now before she ruins Renesmee's party.-Bella
I should try to read her mind then I can see what she's her for.
~ Nothing ~
A low growl escaped my chest. I was getting irritated. That's when Bella went in front of me and spoke.
Bella's pov
Edward was getting irritated, I think, so I took over.
"Hello"
"Hi"
"May I help you?"
"Well, I really need Carlisle."
"Why?"
"If I don't talk to him, something bad is going to happen."
"Like what?"
"Umm, I can't tell you."
"Why?"
"Can I see Carlisle or not?"
"He's not here right now."
"Then can I come in?"
"No"
"Why?"
"Because"
"Look, we all know that you and Edward are both telling a huge lie, so just let me talk to Carlisle."
"No"
"Fine then I'm coming in."
With that, I shut the door in her face and left her out. I went back in the other room with Edward at my side.
"Edward, why didn't you let me talk to her?"
"I couldn't read her mind."
"Still, that wasn't very nice Edward." Esme said.
"I agree with Esme." Another voice said. We all turned to see that same girl.
"What, it's not like I snuck up on you. You really should have seen this coming."
"Who are you?" Rose asked
