You clutch your three-year-old's hand tightly and shoot your husband a playful, yet still effective glare. He looks back at you with a sympathetic shrug and your expression softens.

"Mark!" You yell across the entirely snow covered yard, "It's freezing"

Emma tugs on the bottom of your long winter coat and you jump a little in shock because you were paying so much attention to the weather you forgot she was even there.

"Mommy, it's pretty out." Emma says with a wide grin on her face.

"It is." You tell her, reciprocating her smile.

"I love Crimas."

You laugh, "You mean Christmas?"

"Yeah, that."

Mark jogs over to the side of the exceptionally large yard you and Emma are occupying.

"Daddy!" She says when he arrives, "I wanna make snow angel"

"Okay, Emmabear" He says and she sprints into the distance before flopping onto the ground.

Immediately after, you feel his arm wrap around your waist and pull you closer into him.

"I love winter" You tell him.

"I love you" You turn your head and give him a quick kiss.

"Ew!" Emma calls while wrinkling her nose.

You laugh.

"Don't kiss daddy, mommy, you'll get cooties!"

Again you laugh, this time receiving a glare from Mark.

"Don't encourage it!"

"Oh, come on Mark."

He dips his hand into the three feet of snow and fills it with a large snowball. "You asked for it." He tells you before sending it in your direction, hitting your arm.

"No, you asked for it!" You say before throwing an even bigger, even harder snowball at him.

It only takes ten seconds before you're in a full-blown snowball fight, with Emma watching in amusement.

And at that moment you smile, because you have everything you ever wanted.
