A/N - New story! Anyway, this is the first time writing about High School DxD so I hope it isn't too bad...
Percy always visited the cafe.
It was called the Silver Cup, and ever since the Giant War ended, he had been visiting it almost once every week.
The Silver Cup was Percy's favorite for one reason: it's coffee. It was so good that I'm Percy's mind, you couldn't even describe its glorifying taste.
That was why, on that cold Sunday morning, instead of hanging out with his girlfriend Annabeth, visiting Camp Half-Blood or just a staying in his apartment, he was walking towards the small cafe.
As he approached the cafe, he smiled. He could already envision himself holding a cup of the delicious coffee…
BEEP!
In a daze, he looked to his left and saw a fast-approaching blur of color approaching him. A car.
"Look out!" A voice yelled.
Someone grabbed onto the back of his jacket and yanked him back onto the sidewalk.
The car zoomed by, and Percy stumbled back again.
"Are you ok?"
Percy turned around and blinked in surprise.
The person who saved him was a very pretty girl with long, dark hair styled in an equally long ponytail, with sparkly violet colored eyes. She was wearing a simple pair of jeans and a jacket.
Even though he was dating Annabeth, he still couldn't help but notice her voluptuous figure.
The girl was probably a teenager like him, and she must've been Japanese due to her facial features.
"Uhh, Yeah, I'm ok."
She smiled. "It isn't safe to cross the road like that, you know."
Percy's face warmed up in embarrassment. "Yeah, I know. It was my fault, I was to busy thinking about things. And thanks for saving me."
The girl shook her head. "You're welcome. My name's Akeno, Akeno Himejima by the way."
Akeno held out her hand, and Percy shook it. "Percy Jackson." He responded. Akeno seemed like a very gentle person.
"Anyway, Percy, I suppose you have somewhere to go, so I will go now." She attempted to turn the other way when Percy had a sudden idea.
"Wait, Akeno!"
She turned around to face him. "What is it?"
"Do you want a coffee? You know, as a sort of thank you gift for saving me?"
The pretty girl stood for a few seconds, her face slightly frowning in contemplation. Then, she shrugged as if to say why not? "Sure, if you don't mind."
He smiled and motioned for her to follow him to his original destination.

The inside of the Silver Cup was cozy. With small tables everywhere, light jazz music playing in the background, and the nice smell of pastries and coffee in the air, it felt like somewhere to just curl up into a ball and just sleep in the warmth.
"What would you like?" Percy asked Akeno, who had her hands behind her back, staring at the menu sign.
"Hm… Just an espresso, if you don't mind."
"Really? Ok then!"
He walked up to the counter and smiled to the cashier. "Two espressos, please!"
"Is that all?" The cashier asked him.
"Yup."
Two minutes, four dollars and thirty cents later, Percy and Akeno found a place to sit by the window. They sat opposite each other, and Akeno sipped on her coffee. Her eyes widened.
"This is really good."
Percy chuckled. "Yeah, I know, right? I used to only go down to Starbucks to get some, but after I discovered this, I always visit here!"
She nodded and sipped at it again.
They drank their coffees in awkward silence until Percy asked her a question. "So, Akeno, are you from New York? I don't mean to be rude, but you don't seem like you're from here."
She smiled.
Akeno reminded him of some cute anime girl who on the outside was all gentle and giggly but on the inside was a powerful and fierce person. "Oh, I'm actually from Japan."
He almost spat out his coffee in surprise. "Oh, really? You speak good English. Have you been here before?"
"Oh yes, many times, actually. I visit other places sometimes to clear my head when I'm stressed."
Visit other places? As in, she visits other countries when she's stressed? Percy opened his mouth to respond, but he heard a ring from his pocket.
"Excuse me." He said as he pulled out his phone.
The screen told him Annabeth was calling him. "Hello? What's up, wise girl?"
"Percy."
Her tone was not nice. He could almost picture her, her arms crossed and sending him a glare so terrifying.
"Uh, yeah?"
"Where are you?"
"At the cafe. Why…"
"Might I recall that you said you would be at camp to help with teaching the kids sword fighting lessons?"
Crap.
"Oh, shoot! I forgot! I'm on my way!" Percy hung up before she could start angrily lecturing him about his poor memory and intelligence. He faced Akeno and smiled sheepishly. "I'm sorry, but I have to be going -"
A loud ROAR interrupted him.
"What was that?" Akeno asked, looking out the window that they were next to.
Percy squinted to see.
Down on the road was a group of monsters, and Percy could see hellhounds, Cyclops, and a few telkhines. A car was on fire, and morals were running around, screaming.
"Goddamit," Percy said in annoyance. He turned to Akeno, who was now staring at the scene with wide eyes. Whatever she saw, it must've been eye-opening.
Maybe she saw some terrorists or something?
"I'm sorry, I gotta go," Percy said as he was already running towards the door.
"Hey, Wait!"
As he bolted out the door and towards the monster hoard, he yelled:
"Hey! Beef heads!"
A cyclops holding a baseball bat that was destroying a car turned to look at him. "My, my if it isn't the famous Percy Jackson!"
"That's right. And I'm here to kick your monster butts!" He uncapped Riptide.
The cyclops grinned. Then, three hellhounds all ran at him. He dodged the first one by rolling to the left, then he chopped off its head, turning it into golden dust.
"Is that all you got?" He asked tauntingly.
The two hellhounds growled at him, then at the same time they both pounced. He was lucky for his fast reflexes because, without them, he would've been shredded. He jabbed one of them, which then turned into a large pile of golden dust.
Suddenly, he felt a burning sting on his left arm.
Wincing, he turned around to face the final hellhound.
A minute later, he had managed to kill it. Stupid monster, he thought as he glanced at his wound. It was a long red gash that was still bleeding dark red.
The cyclops laughed.
"Very good, Jackson! Now, are you still able to face us all at the same time?"
It was like a cinematic shot from a film. The lead cyclops in the middle, with all the other goons panning out on either side of him.
"Of course I can deal with you guys. I've killed giants and Titans!" He raised Riptide, but just as he was about to strike, something crazy happened.
The large group of monsters was enveloped by lighting, much to Percy's shock. The blast of lighting went on for a solid minute before the monsters all turned into a pile of electric burning dust. He slowly turned around and saw Akeno Himejima, floating a few feet of the ground, a sweet smile on her face and lighting dancing on her hand.
"Uh… What the fuck?"
Akeno giggled. "Oh, I absolutely love electrocuting things." Was her response.
Percy just stared, dumbfounded, as she continued to stare at the pile of monster dust, a smile on her face.
Then, she turned to look at him.
"Who are you, really?" She asked him.
Percy blinked, momentarily escaping his shocked trance. "Who am I? You just electrocuted an entire group of monsters? Who are you? Are you a demigod?"
She tilted her head to the side. "A demigod? No, no, I was going to ask you if you were a devil, but you clearly aren't."
Now he had a migraine.
"A devil? Hades? Are you a daughter of Zeus?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
She walked up to him, gave him a quick hug, then stood back a few feet. Akeno smiled.
"Well, Percy, it was nice talking to you."
Suddenly, strange red glowing marks appeared on the ground around her. Then she disappeared. Just like that. Gone. But Percy's mind was already to mushy for him to register what just happened.
Capping Riptide, he ran in the opposite directions, towards Camp Half-Blood.

"So, you were fighting a group of monsters, and suddenly this Akeno Himejima just kills them all with a gigantic blast of lighting."
Percy nodded for what felt like the hundredth time.
"Yes, Annabeth! She killed them all, then she asked me who I was!"
Annabeth just crossed her arms. Chiron sat in wheelchair mode, staring at Percy, a slight frown on his face.
"Did she resemble a child of Zeus?" Chiron asked. "Did she strike you as Zeus's daughter?"
Percy frowned. Akeno's personality didn't match. She was sweet and always smiling. Her hair was dark and she had violet colored eyes. "No, she didn't seem like one. Besides, if she was, shouldn't we have felt it?"
Annabeth sighed. "Well, I don't know, Percy…"
"But I'm serious! I saw her! She disappeared into a portal! Akeno asked me if I was a devil!"
She just shook her head. "Look, if you ever see her again, let Chiron and me know, alright? We can't really do anything about it right now, anyway."
And with that, Annabeth left the room.
Chiron just shrugged. "I've been alive for hundreds and hundreds of years, and I've never heard of such creature."
Percy himself just sighed in exasperation. "You know what? I'll just go train those campers."
