I just finished making dinner for Sam and Jess, when the phone rang. Cas had called to say that there had been a murder case for us in the north part of town.
"Sam we've got a case, Cas just called to tell us." I said
"Got what!" He replied aggravated that I had just spoiled the delicious pie I had made them.
"Just come here we need to talkā¦in private." I didn't want Jess to hear this. We were FBI agents; at least that's what we say.
"What is so important that you had to ruin our dinner, we were talking about the wedding." Sam half whispered, half shouted at me.
"There's been a murder in some old run-down building." I said calmly.
I could tell from the look on Sam's eyes that he didn't want to go and he would rather stay here with Jess, but I don't give a rat's ass.
"Go get in the car, I'm driving."
_At The Crime Scene_
"Names Nelly Carson, she's 26, single, and a waitress at the local diner." Cas said no real emotion in his voice.
We had managed to get past the cops with our "FBI badges" so we could come have a look. Dad has taught us to do this ever since mom died, and now that he has vanished we, Sam and I, carry on the family business. The victim, Nelly, was hung from a rope hanging from a ceiling fan only moving if thee wind blew through the shattered windows. She was covered in cuts, gashes, and probably a lot of broken bones. Cas had come up to me and said "Why".
"Why", why was she murdered like this? Why was she the target of a murder?
