"ZUKO!"
I hear her call out my name as she races over to me from where she chained azula. The pain in my chest is unbearable, tearing through my nerves right through my body I feel cool hands grip my shoulders and turn me over so I'm facing the sky. A cool sensation washed over my body as she places her smooth, delicate hands over my chest rubbing them in small circles. The pain begins to subside as she slowly seals the hole of azula's attack in my chest.
The soothing blue glow that surrounds her hand begins to vanish as I groan in pain, my eyes fluttering open. I hear her sigh in relief. She's hovering over me, different emotions flashing in the dazzling blue eyes, concern, relief, sadness, anger. Her hair hangs around her face and mine almost like a curtain; the ends trailing the ground softly. Her eyes are brimmed with tears, many flowing freely down her cheeks onto mine.
She helps me into a sitting position. "Why?" she asks confusion on her face. "Why did you risk you life for me?" She hangs her head. "You could have died"
I slip my fingers under her delicate chin and raise her head up so I can see into her beautiful blue eyes. How long have I dreamt of this girl, how long have I longed to kiss her sweet soft lips. I couldn't bear the thought of azula's lighting blot harming her so I threw myself in front of her taking the attack straight in my chest. I wipe away her tears with my thump, tucking a few strands of hair behind her ear with the other hand.
"People do crazy things" I say softly leaning in closer to her. "When their in love" I ignore the shocked looked on her face as I tilt my head to hers and capture her soft sweet lips with mine. Her lips are even softer than I imagined as cup her cheek with my hand. I hear her gasp in surprise but quickly relax into my kiss. I pull back after what seemed forever, her hands came to rest on my shoulders and mine one at her hip the other still around her cheek.
"You w...w...what?" She breathes looking at me with shocked eyes.
"I'm in love with you master katara of the southern water tribe, I have been since the day I first saw you" I state looking directly into her eyes. She stares at me for a few moments before her eyes soften and she places her small delicate hand on the scarred side of my face.
"Zuko I love you to" She smiles. My heart leaps for joy and I can't help grinning like an idiot. I tilt my head towards her again and she meets my lips gladly. I wrap my arms around her; hers wrapping them self's around my neck. I close my eyes as we continue to kiss under the night sky and I can't help but feel if I've got her things might just be alright after all.
