To be Alone

Rin had been her Lords best friend all her life. She had always been by his side, always cheering him up and making him happy. She had always been the one to give him flowers, spend time with him, or help him in his time of need. Rin had thought that life would always be that way, her with her lord and her lord with her.

But one day, Rins life turned upside down and lefts her in anguish. Her lord was going to fight the evil half-demon Naraku. So in the process, her lord took her to a human village with only his mother's locket to remember him by.

Rin had been sitting in the center of the field full of flowers looking toward to sky in hopes of seeing her master come and pick her up. She had been sitting in the very field that they had said their farewells. Rin touched the ruby locket, as she did whenever she felt that he wouldn't come back. For she wouldn't, couldn't think that he had past on, leaving her.

She remembered the day he had given the locket to her. She had cried out in joy of getting a gift from her lord. She smiled happily and looked at him. He looked down at her with sorrowful eyes and told her why he was giving her such a precious object. In an instant her smiled faded away and her joyful eyes filled with horror.

''This was my mothers, and I wanted to give it to the most special one I could think of.'' Rin smiled.

''Thank you my lord, I will treasure it with all my being.'' He sighed and kneeled in front of her so she could be at eye level. "Rin, I will be fighting the half-demon Naraku, I may not come back so that is why I am giving it-" He was interrupted by Rin. "My lord you WILL come back! I just know it! Don't say such things!"

"Rin, I am going to take you to a human village to live while I am gone. It will be much safer than the castle while I am away. Its for your safety, you will be around humans and maybe one day, marry one." Rin couldn't believe it. "I don't want a human!" she yelled as she jumped into his arms and sobbed. He embraced her and had a servant take her to her room. And the very next morning, he was gone. A letter lay on Rins desk that said, 'I promise that we will see eachother again my Rin.' and Rin held that promise.

So here she was, sitting in the middle of the very field, waiting, and growing old with age. She never married, for hopes that one day her lord will come and take her to the castle. She got up and headed back to the village but not without looking at the sky once more. "I will see you again Lord Sesshoumaru, I promise." And walked back toward the village.

'Some say that after Rin had died, they see a pale figure sitting in the middle of a field, Holding a ruby locket,

'looking toward the sky.'

I know, CHEESEY CHEESEY CHEESEY! But hey, what can you expect if I thought of it during math?

An award winning book? I don't think so. If you haven't noticed, Sesshoumaru died. I'm going to make

other stories soon. But I haven't been able to since my health class made me do extra homework to get

my grade up so I have been booked. Oh well, I finally got my computer hooked up so I can write stories

even if I am grounded. But, hey, I thought it sounded good. But, whatevah makes you happy, R&R!

Yes that! Push it! \/
