A/N: This is my second story and I know this is a short chapter but I wanted to start it out with a short chapter. This is an AU with Chuck and Carina. I havent wrote a Charina story before. I like reading them so I decided to write one. This story isn't beta'd so any mistakes are my own.

It was the second week chuck had the intersect and he was not doing well. The intersect was fine. It was his handlers, specifically Sarah. She did her job but Chuck was developing feelings for her even though he didn't want to. After their date and he found out it was all fake he decided he would try to be nothing more than friends with her and barely that because even if she was trying to get him to tell her where the intersect was she didn't have to deceive him. She could have just asked or tortured him or ANYTHING, but fake him into thinking she really liked him. Because that got his hopes up that he was over Jill and everything was going to be okay. It clearly was not.
Just the other day they were on a mission (or mish as Chuck had started calling them) to retrieve a stolen diamond. They had to work with a stunningly beautiful DEA agent named Carina Miller. He thought she seemed nice but didn't really have any interactions with her because he thought she was like all other spies, 24/7 liars. No truth whatsoever.
Another problem he had was he had no one to talk to about all of his other problems. He couldn't talk to Sarah or Casey because they were the problem and he couldn't talk to Ellie or Devon or even Morgan unless he wanted to endanger their lives, which he didn't. He contemplated talking to Carina. He thought she might be different but after he saw the way she deceived the man Chuck thought resembled a wookie he decided she wasn't.
So once again Chuck Bartowski had spent the whole night thinking about these things just like he had the past two weeks. This will be a long three months until they get the new intersect up and running. Then he would be free.
