Toya Kinomoto sat lazily in his seat by the window. He had gotten up early that morning to help out with some club activities at school and now found himself wishing he had slept in.
"Hey Kinomoto-Kun-"Ito-kun, one of Toya's classmates said tapping on his desk.
"Yeah."
"Where do ya' suppose Sasaki-sensei is?" Ito said referring to their homeroom teacher whom Toya hadn't noticed had been missing till just a moment ago. "She's never late..."
"I dunno' why would I-"Toya was cut off as the door to their class room was opened and their teacher walked in followed by someone he had never seen before. As if a switch had been flipped on the room was filled with a buzz of conversation, mostly on who the other students thought this new person was.
"Now will everyone quiet down and take their seats please, I have an announcement to make." Sasaki-sensei said in her usual authoritative way.
Once everyone had sat down Sasaki-sensei spoke again. "Now class, we have a new transfer student in our class, I'll have him introduce himself."
At that the boy that had followed her into the classroom looked up and smiled at the class. Toya found himself thinking that the boy had one of the most beautiful smiles he had ever seen and then turned away quickly as he felt his face grow hot.
"Umm…I'm Tsukishiro Yukito, I just moved her with my grandparents and I am glad to be in your class." Yukito said bowing after he had finished.
"Well, Tsukishiro-san, why don't you take the empty seat beside Kinomoto-san." The teacher said pointing to the seat beside Toya. Yukito walked over to the seat and set his things down beside him. He leaned over and whispered to Toya ."Kinomoto-san, I hope we will become good friends."
Toya nodded in agreement. "Yes, let's." He turned away quickly though, he couldn't help but blush when he saw Yukito smile.
"Hey Tsukishiro-san!" Toya yelled as he went to catch up to Yukito.
"Oh, konnichiwa , Kinomoto-san." Yukito said.
"Umm…Tsukishiro-san, I was going to go help with the basketball club's practice, their missing a couple of members. I was wondering if you wanted to go as well." Toya asked.
" Oh, yeah, that sounds good." Yukito said flashing that beautiful smile of his again.
"The gym, is uh…the gym is this way." Toya said turning towards the gym.
"Tsukishiro-san, you're amazing." Toya said as the two of them walked out of the school together.
"Heh, no I'm not that great really…" Yukito said blushing at the compliment.
"No, really, you're good, you should join the club, they'd be happy to have you."
"No…I'd rather not join any clubs, at least not yet." Yukito said slowly.
"Yeah, I guess I get what you mean. Hey, Tsukishiro-san, there's a good café near here, we should go sometime."
"Yeah, maybe Saturday. We only have a half a day of school then right?"
"Alright, till Saturday then.." Toya said as he turned to walk in the direction of his house.
"Ja ne, until then, Kinomoto-san" Yukito said smiling as he watched the other boy walk off. Without knowing why, he felt as though he wanted know everything about his new found friend.
Hey , this will be my first multi-chapter fan fiction. Sorry the chapter was so short. The next one will be longer I promise. Of course I chose one of my most favorite couples. Toya's a little OOC, so sorry about that, though I think I got Yukito's personality pretty good.
