"A voice." The tomb was quiet. Yet she heard a voice calling out to her. "Who's there?" it was only logical to ask such a question. Her eyes lids slowly fluttered open. Clear cerulean hues gazed up at the ceiling. The pureblood was still very sleepy. Yet something was keeping Esumeraruda astir. "How long?" she wondered. "A year? A century?" Raising a hand to her forehead she turned away from the ceiling and closed her eyes once more. "Who called out to me? His voice is so familiar." It had been so long since Esumeraruda heard her name, her real name. So long in fact she had nearly forgotten it. Removing her hand she turned once again to the ceiling overhead. "I must go to him." The urge was overwhelming. Something pulled at her. It told her the person calling out her name needed her desperately. Climbing out of the stone coffin, Esumeraruda maroon hair fell down her back. Wrapped in nothing but a white silk sheet the pureblood stepped forward. Raising a hand to her temple. "How long?" Esumeraruda thought again. Everything seemed like a dream. Confused, unsure of anything one thing remain constant. "Blood. I need blood." Moving towards the entrance her bare feet crushed the pebbles of rock in her path, she felt next to none.

Once outside the light from the moon washed over Esumeraruda making her pale skin glow. "The moon." Gazing upon the moon she began to remember pieces. Her gaze shifted downward from the blacken sky as the sound of footprints caught her attention. "Esumeraruda." That same voice called out her name again. This time it was clear. "Who are you?" she asked curiously, yet remain cautious. "I see your memories haven't yet returned." His tone seemed almost sadden by this. Memories? Esumeraruda asked. A male figure stepped out into the clearing not far from her. But as a pureblood vampire she could see every mark, wrinkle and detail of him clearly. Gazing at him now Esumeraruda felt as if, as if she should know him."My memories?" Placing a hand to her temple she tried to remember. "I know my name, what I am, and what I need. Yet I can not recall your name, nor what you are to me." Though she could not recall these things, deep inside the pureblood knew he could be trusted. "Come Esumeraruda, it is much too dangerous to stay here." He held out his hand to her. "I'll explain everything soon."

Esumeraruda felt compelled to join him by his side. She walked over to him, taking his out stretched hand. "I'm thirsty." She said. The man tucked a strand of hair behind her ear tenderly and placed a kiss upon Esumeraruda forehead. "I know." He replied. But for now you must wait. Leading her away from the tomb entrance he took Esumeraruda into the surrounding forest.
