Contrary to popular belief, Momo Hinamori was actually a good liar.

She pretended to lie, something impossible for her, so everyone else would think she was a bad liar. Several times they actually believed her for a time but it didn't take long for the lie to be discovered. They knew her too well.

Or rather, not well enough.

She lied – truly lied – only on rare occasion. To lead someone by the ear to believe something not real wasn't nice. The look on their faces when they find out is so discouraging. It must have been a real disappointment to find out you were lied to so she stopped.

For a time.

When she met Gin Ichimaru, she hated him. He was always lying, even when he didn't need to. He was making the mistake that she had made and she hated seeing her own faults in others. He was a liar, so she lied to keep up with his lies. It was a vicious ccle and he thoroughly enjoyed it.

She didn't expect Aizen to lie to her.

He had been pulling everyone by the ear, even her. This had enraged her. Suddenly, she was lying to everyone. She was saying it was Ichimaru's fault when she knew it wasn't. it was Aizen, him and his lies.

The healers said she was lying to herself, when she shouldn't. that it was hurting her and suddenly she had an idea.

She would come clean, yes she would. She was lying to herself and she hated it when people lied.

This found her bowing in front of the captain of squad ten.

"I've been lying the entire time," she said, "I've always been lying. I'm coming clean and saying everything that's on my mind. You don't have to worry anymore.

"…Hinamori?"

"the truth is you failed. You cant protect me. I cant protect you either. I'm sorry, but I cant protect you from me anymore." She knew it would disturb him so she shouldn't do it. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop herself. She giggled.

"I'm beyond help now – pffff – so p-p-ple-e-e-e-e-a-a-sssse don't worry anymore. I'll be ok. Truth is, I don't need you anymore. You were a great help for a while, but you aren't needed."

Hitsugaya stared at her in shock and confusion. She smiled.

And giggled.

She was always so bad at lying to herself.

A/N: Episode 126, Momo wasn't insane. She was in the first stage of stress; denial. That's not insanity. It pisses me off when people say she's insane. If a person deals with stress, then does that mean theyre insane?

This oneshot is dedicated to how Momo would act if she were actually insane.
