Trial of Luck
Chapter One- "Prologue"
--The trees swayed in the spring breeze, and Tezuka looked into the clear, blue sky. Due to Inui's "experiments," in the school lab, the students were let out early due to obvious bio hazards. And, of course, the mad scientist responsible for the entire mess was expelled. However, the captain had discovered a loophole in the student handbook he had never bothered to read before, and was able to have Inui attend tennis practice afterschool. So, there was nothing to be worried about for the moment.
However, the blonde frowned. Something in the air just wasn't right. It was a perfectly beautiful day, almost spring, if not spring already. Everything was green, and growing, and there was the pleasant smell of grass in the air.
Tezuka looked at his watch, and raised an eyebrow. Funny, the students of Yamabuki hadn't even been released yet. He had agreed to meet their tennis team at 3:35, believing that they had invited him to discuss tennis. Poor, poor, boy.
A loud crack brought the tennis player out of his thoughts, and he was forced to stop a few steps before Yamabuki middle school. There, strewn on the ground before him, was a pair of glasses. They were odd looking, the frames gold and square, the lenses a bright green.
Suddenly, a strange feeling overcame Tezuka. He just couldn't resist the urge to pick up those glasses, and try them on. After removing his own pair, and tucking them carefully into his pocket, he slid the odd accessory over his nose.
And, there and then, his life began to change forever.
