Chapter One: New beginnings.
Silence filled the room. Lizzie looked down at the pregnancy test. Blue. "Oh my gosh," Lizzie thought to herself, "I.I.I'm pregnant." Lizzie couldn't hold back the tears. They welled up in her eyes as she threw herself onto her bed.
She fell asleep that night angry and confused. She didn't know what to do. If she got an abortion her parents would find out about the baby but then again if she had the baby her parents would find out anyway. How would she tell Gordo, the father of her baby? And Miranda, her best friend. She didn't know it, but she wouldn't need to solve these problems.
The next day at school Miranda, Lizzie and Gordo ate lunch together as usual. They were sitting there eating when Gordo puts his arm around Lizzie. They were going out so it wasn't strange but as soon as he did so Lizzie moved her shoulders as in a way telling him to get off. "What's wrong?" Gordo asked.
"Nothing, I'm just not very touchy touchy today," Lizzie replied.
"I'm sorry to hear that. So, Lizzie, Miranda, what do you two want to do today?
"Um. I'm not sure it would be such a good idea to do anything tonight." Miranda said. "Um. Lizzie, are you feeling okay? You won't even go near Gordo today and you've been holding your stomach the whole day. Are you sure nothings up?"
"Y.Yeah! I'm fine Miranda! Honestly!" Lizzie almost screamed.
"Okay." Miranda gave Lizzie a strange look but then just shook it off and talked about later that night. They all agreed to meet at the digital bean that night at their favorite table.
When Lizzie walked into the digital bean she saw Gordo and how he lived in such a perfect world. She didn't know how to ruin that for him. She didn't know how to tell him that she was pregnant. She felt she had to have the baby and tell him later. Lizzie walked over to the table and sat down next to Gordo, "Hey baby!" Lizzie said.
"Hi honey," Gordo replied. Just then Miranda walked in and Lizzie motioned for her to come over.
"What's up Lizzie and Gordo? Have you two been doing anything I should know about?" Miranda joked.
Lizzie suddenly shot up and screamed at Miranda, "JUST BECAUSE I'm PREGNANT DOESN'T MEAN WE DID ANYTHING WRONG!" Just as she said that Lizzie covered her mouth and ran out as she ran home crying.
Later that night Lizzie heard a knock on her door as Gordo walked in very slowly and sat down on her bed. He looked down at Lizzie. "Listen Lizzie, you could have told me before but I understand that you didn't." He took her hand in his. "All I can say is I know we will get through this, I know we will."
