Crimson Fox, Violet Flower

A Saga of the Crimson Fox oneshot

By Storm Wolf77415

(Oak Springs, Maine 2306)

Oak Springs, Maine was a town frozen in time. A 1972 Dodge Charger rolled through the streets of the small coal town. Despite the wear and chips in the strident flame red paintjob, the engine rumbled like it was brand new. The Crimson Fox leaned back against the well-worn black leather, soaking in the sights of his hometown. Main Street was just the way he remembered it. The entire town gave off a soothing aura. Mark's eyes grew wet when they came to rest on one area in particular. The Oak Springs train station.

(Oak Springs Train Station, 2289)

Nineteen-year-old Mark shouldered his sea bag, stepping onto the platform, waiting for the train that would take him to his new posting. His heart leapt into his throat when he saw…her. A young woman with long violet hair cascading down her back in soft waves tied in a low ponytail. He had seen her around town many times, after he saw her walk out of the recruitment office, he immediately followed.

Mark took in every detail of the violet-haired beauty. She looked majestic in the female Class-As. The skirt showcased a pair of long, magnificent legs accented by a pair of simple black pumps with two-inch heels. Nervously he sat on the bench opposite to her, not quite sure what he was going to say. She spared him the trouble. She leaned over the bench. "What were you guys fighting about earlier?" She asked.

Mark could have died on the spot upon hearing her voice. It was deep, but feminine, commanding, but with an underlying tone of kindness and compassion." Praying to God he didn't faint, He turned to meet her gorgeous violet-blue eyes. "It's not important, it was just a dumb argument." He shrugged.

"I think you need to stop. You're in the service now, and need to hold yourself to a higher standard." She replied. "Where are you going to be stationed?"

"Norfolk, what about you?"

"Same here!" She replied.

"Do you want to sit together?" Mark asked.

"It's a long trip." She replied, "But with that uniform, I guess you're not a coal miner." He cocked his head, confused at her statement, "I've got a rule, it's either one or two…never date a coal miner."

Mark laughed, "You have rule for everything?"

She shrugged, "Working on it! Everyone needs a code they can live by. What's your name?"

"Marcus Jefferson Lamperouge." He said.

"I'm just going to call you Mark." She said.

"You can call me anything you want," He replied, completely in love with this girl.

"I'm Cornelia." She said.

(Present Day)

The Crimson Fox sighed happily. Even after thirty-six years, the memory of the day when he met his precious flower still stirred emotions in his heart. "I love you forever and always, Nelly." He whispered to no one in particular. Mark hit the gas. the Charger sped out of town. He gave Oak Springs one last look in the rear view mirror, before heading back towards Montana.

Author's Notes: Not a very long story. But it's meant to be short and sweet. My mother got me hooked on NCIS some time ago. After watching the episode "Heartland" and seeing how Gibbs met his first wife, Shannon. I couldn't help but do something based on it. Cornelia is based off Cornelia Li Britannia from Code Geass. The story in-universe is that she was killed ing action during the Solar Wars before he was put in command of Renquist for those who wish to know.
