Tim's Reflection

Summary: Part of my 'Lessons' series. Tag to Nine Lives. Warning: spanking of adults. Don't like? Don't read.

Disclaimer: I don't own them, I just play with them.

A/N: This is part of my 'Lessons' series and builds on a larger plot arc. This story contains references to the disciplinary spanking of adults. If you have a problem with that, click on that 'back' button now. You've been warned.

Tim splashed more water onto his face then stared, bleary-eyed, into the men's room mirror. His face was still a bit flushed, but it wasn't too obvious that his boss had just taken a paddle to him.

He'd been an idiot, he realised. Making snide comments at Tony. And doing petty things, like suddenly closing the drawer that Tony was leaning on, just to see him stumble. He really should have known better, especially when Gibbs was already pissed about the case, and about the tension with Fornell. Hell, he'd even commented on Gibbs's mood, to Tony. What was he thinking, pushing and pushing and pushing until finally Gibbs snapped, fed up with the sniping between two younger agents?

Of course they'd ended up getting spanked. The lecture had been short and scathing – they were supposed to be professionals, and if they insisted on behaving like children, they'd be treated like children.

The paddling had actually been pretty mild. Just a couple of hard swats over his khakis. Gibbs wouldn't hesitate to deliver a harsh spanking when they deserved it, but that wasn't what today had been about. It was really just a reminder that, when told to 'knock it off,' there would be consequences for not listening.

Grabbing a handful of paper towels, Tim dried himself off, ran a hand through his hair, and headed reluctantly for the door. Even with the milder-than-usual spanking, he wasn't looking forward to sitting at his desk for the rest of the afternoon.
