A breeze blew by, carrying the stray leaves along until an opposite wind blew. Laying the leaves on the ground. Still one flew, as if defying gravity and making something more of itself. Eventually though, it would come down like everything else does in time. For now it floated on towards the horizon and disappeared from site.
Behind the window of the famed Shrieking Shack a being looked out. Watching the leaves skitter across the ground in playful merriment until being shushed by Grandmother Wind. He sighed and turned around, disappearing into the depths of the building. He climbed the creaking steps and entered the bedroom upstairs. Another figure sat on the bed, his head cradled sorrowfully in his hands.
The man from downstairs crossed the room and sat on the dusty chair opposite the one on the bed. "You shouldn't be here Remus. What if-" But he was cut off. "There is no if, Sirius. I have an antidote that will help. You are really the one who shouldn't be here." He said with a sigh. Glancing out the window. Another bold leaf fluttered alone, going to who knows where only to fall because of stronger things.
"I can take care of myself. But, I worry about you Remus, I do." Sirius said looking up slightly through his ragged locks. A faint smile crossed Remus' face before it disappeared once more. "You needn't do that." He sighed before standing once more and stretching. "Remus... You're stronger than that thing, even without the potions. You do realize that, don't you?" Sirius said looking over his shoulder as his friend began to descend the stairs. "I can't say that I do Sirius... I can't say that I do."
