Brothers no matter what

Malik is captured by slayers and they are going to stake him as he hasn't been keeping to the peace treaty but Vlad stops them. Character OC added as Draculas may be a bit OC and no matter what in my mind Malik didn't die and he is still Vlad's brother.

Vlad sighed he knew as he walked into the slayers hall he would see Malik in a light cage and no Erin. She was dead. Dead, the world swirled round and round his head as it had done since he had been told. Slayers had killed her but Vlad wasn't mad he was sort of relieved but he still had to face Malik.

Eventually he was ready and he walked into the room.

"Are we ready to fire?" Mina Van Helsing asked her fellow slayers. It was when everyone nodded that Vlad started to get second thoughts about what was about to happen, Malik was still his brother. The slayers lifted their bows and fired and Vlad made his decision, he transported in between Malik and the slayers and sent the arrows flying in to the ground with his powers.

Everyone stared at Vlad in shock and to himself Vlad would admit he was shocked by his actions.

"WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON!?" Jonno bellowed.

Vlad sighed, "Yours but Malik is still my brother I just can't stand by and let someone else deal with him; it has to be my family!"

Mina sighed but grudgingly agreed so Malik left in vampire cuffs with Vlad.

-Line-break-

"What is he doing here!?" Count Dracula thundered glaring at Malik who was bound to a chair, like he was the scum of the earth, making his son flinch.

"Because I told the slayers we would deal with it!"

"Why!? I thought you said you would stake him if you ever so him again." Ingrid yelled for once agreeing with her dad.

It went on for several minutes with Count Dracula and Ingrid yelling at Vlad for being so stupid until Vlad snapped, "MALIK IS MY BROTHER AND I CARE ABOUT HIM OKAY?"

Count Dracula and Ingrid stared at Vlad in shock as did Malik, "What?"

Vlad turned to Malik and sighed, "I care about you as you are family no matter what."

Malik looked and his feet and mumbled, "no one's ever cared about me before."

Vlad released him from the vampire cuffs and drew him into a hug, "well I do!"

Malik hugged him back because deep down they were still brothers no matter what.
