Donnie looked at the clock.
4:30 AM, a new record.
Usually his coffee buzz ended at 3:00 AM, leaving him drop- dead tired.
But after five cups of coffee he still felt great! Besides he still had so much to do.
Being the resident genius wasn't easy.
He had recently discovered a possible blind spot in their lair's security system that needed his attention, plus not to mention the several other things that piled up on his list everyday.
Like the barrage of kitchen appliances and gaming consoles that his younger brother never failed to break.
Then there was Raph's punching bag to patch and re-stuff due to his regular outbursts and Leo's training course that needed daily mechanical maintenance.
There was April's very touchy shop security system and his own inventions.
And to top it all off his required family time, ninja training, saving the world and citizens on nightly runs, and his own excursions to the dump for parts.
His family would scold him of course for "over exerting" himself and not getting enough rest.
But he didn't care.
As long as there were things to fix or family and friends who needed him, he didn't have time to sleep.
He was just too busy!
