The one thing that could be said for Draco Malfoy was that he never gave up.

The one thing that could be said for Scorpious Malfoy was that he was nothing like his father. Between being sorted into Gryffindor and befriending a Potter, he very swiftly became something quite different than what anyone had expected of him. In that sense, Scorpious had accomplished far greater things than his father had ever attempted. And yet, he supposed, it was never truly up to him. He could never have refused the contentment of Gryffindor tower, or the friendship in Albus' laughtor, or the thrill in Rose's peach shampoo.

For what it was worth, Draco was pleased with where he had ended up.

Scorpious rejoiced in the journey.
