Hina-ichigo hummed to herself as she cheerily watered her garden. She finished her song with a proud smile, and climbed down from the windowsill.
"Is Chibi-chibi still using that watering can?" Suiseiseki's green and red eyes flashed. "Hmph! That elephant is a disgrace to all gardeners!" She folded her arms, and turned away in a huff.
Hina Ichigo looked pouty for a moment, but quickly recovered upon sight of Nori-chan in the kitchen. "Oh! Is that strawberry cake for Hina?"
Nori smiled. "Yes, Hina-chan, there is enough cake for everyone. Shinku? Jun? Suiseiseki? Souseiseki? Cake!"
There was the sound of china being set down. Over on the couch, Jun and Shinku were glued to the screen. Well, Jun was. Shinku was much too refined to be glued to anything. She was just intrigued by the show.
"Not no, Nori-chan. I shall have some when Detective Kun-Kun is over." Shinku answered. Suiseiseki and Souseiseki came over, however, glancing over their shoulders when Kun-Kun made a particularly thrilling statement.
"Hina-ichigo! That's not polite!" Nori chided her. Hina Ichigo had popped her strawberry immediately into her mouth, and was now preceding to shovel down her cake. "We haven't even sat down yet!"
"Hmphh!" Hina-ichigo sulked. "I had to eat it all before she got to it!" For some reason, she was glaring at Suiseiseki. Suiseiseki turned away, nose in the air.
"I wouldn't touch your germy piece of cake if it was all there was left!" She turned back to Hina-ichigo. "Look what a mess you made it!"
Hina-ichigo gasped, taken aback. Suddenly her lip trembled, and her hazel-green eyes began to fill. "My…my cake! It's not pretty anymore, like Nori-chan worked so hard to make! Waaaaah!"
Jun and Shinku tensed, willing the noise to stop before Kun-Kun made his latest discovery. Neither of them actually did anything about it, of course.
