A young man walked into his apartment, making sure to balance himself on his crutch before closing and locking the door.

He had white hair and pale skin, looking like he'd never gone outside in his life. This was Midoriya Izuku, also known as Accelerator, the strongest person in Musutafu. It is rumoured that even All Might wouldn't be able to touch him, but they had never met, so the argument stayed in speculation.

A year ago, he had gotten into an accident and received sever brain damage.

Now it was known that he was weaker than he used to be. His Quirk required processing power that his brain simply didn't have anymore. So now he couldn't even walk straight.

"Tch, and they expect me to be able to take care of some damn brat?" He said to himself.

He walked into the living room to see Eri, his charge, sitting down on his couch and flitting through the channels. "Oh, Accelerator, welcome home!" She called out when she noticed him.

He put the groceries on the table and started sorting them and placing them in places they need to be. "Shut up, brat."

Eri pouted but didn't say anything. She knew he loved her, he was just being a hard ass. She smiled mischievously and picked up one of the grapes that she was snacking on and threw it at Izuku's head.

As soon as it hit he reached up and clutched his head and turned around, throwing Eri a death glare.

She just smiled at him. "Tch. Fuck you." He turned away and continued. He still wasn't used to being touched, his old Quirk made it impossible for anything to touch him. The reason he was so pale was because his Quirk made it so that the harmful parts of the sunlight couldn't touch him.

But now that he didn't have his Quirk, he was hurt by even the most minute thing. Never feeling pain since you were four would do that to a person, now even the bite of a mosquito was like breaking an arm to him.

Eri stood up from the couch and walked over to Izuku, or as he prefers, Accelerator. She just silently watched him do his work, it took a while, because he only had only arm to do it with, te other was keeping him balanced on the crutch.

"What hurt you?" She asked him. The question stopped Accelerator stiff. "Was it me?" She asked him, looking down.

"No. It was that bastard Overhaul." Accelerator growled out. He wasn't being entirely truthful, while Kai Chisaki did cause his head injury, it only happened because all of his focus was on Eri at the time.

"How did it happen?" She asked, pulling up a seat and looking at Izuku.

"The bastard Overhaul had a failsafe put in you, if he ever lost you and couldn't get you back, he'd activate the kill switch and you would have died. The failsafe would kill you and fry every single one of your cells, so no one else could use your Quirk." Izuku explained as he sat down as well.

"What'd you do?" Eri already knew he did something, the nice doctor lady told her that Accelerator had done something and saved her.

"Something stupid…"

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" Izuku cursed as he stood over Eri's body, which was in the back of the car.

The car was parked in an empty lot, with Izuku leaning over her, on the phone with someone. "What're you saying? What do I do!?" he shouted, trying to get clear answers. "Hurry up! There's not much more time!" he screamed into the phone.

"The virus is in her brain, it'll start to drain the electric energy from the entire city and put it into body. It seems to be a virus created from multiple Quirks being fused together into the common cold, there's nothing I can do."

"Where's the virus!?" He asked.

"It's in her neurons, it can't be taken out from where it is, if we attempted it, she would die. There's nothing we can do, Izuku." She said gently.

"SHUT UP! If it's in her neurons, then I know where they are, I can save her!" Izuku said before putting his hand on Eri's head.

His Quirk 'Vector Control' allowed him to control any vectors that came into contact with him, though the effect can propagate through things such as clothes or even the air for a short distance. If he is touching her scalp, he can affect the brain.

"What!? No! Izuku, listen to me! Don't do it! If you do that, the concentration it would take will bring your barrier down, you could be hurt!" The lady on the line screamed at him, but he just pt the phone down onto Eri's lap.

"Here goes…" He closed his eyes and started concentrating.

It was hardly ten seconds later that he heard footsteps appear behind him. He gasped but knew he couldn't stop.

"You bastard!" Kai Chisaki said from behind him, he was obviously hurt, having only just gotten out of the fight with as many pro heroes as could be rallied up. "I'm not letting you have her!" He pulled out a gun, in his injured and dazed mind, if his fists couldn't hurt him, then surely a gun would.

'Hurry, hurry, hurry up! HURRY UP!' Izuku screamed in his head.

'Yes! I did it! She's sav-' A gunshot rang out in the lot and Izuku collapsed to the ground, a round hole in the back of his head.

Overhaul laughed and stomped over to Izuku, lifting his foot to kill him. But he was then shot. He fell to the ground and clutched his chest, where the wound was bleeding profusely. "Wh-What!?" He couldn't fix it, he couldn't do anything.

"These prototypes you made aren't perfect, but they'll be enough to kill you." Mei Hatsume said, trying to remain calm as she saw her friend lying motionless on the ground with a bullet wound in his head. She looked to Eri and then checked the time. "He did it. He actually did it." He whispered to herself before she turned her pistol to Overhaul and shot him five more times in the head, killing him.

"…And that's how it happened." Izuku finished explaining, putting down a plate of food for Eri. He had stood up during the story and made them dinner.

It was simple, vegetables and fish. He wasn't a very good cook, but Eri liked it just fine, and Izuku couldn't care less.

To say he was angry when he lost his Quirk would be an understatement, he became a cold, hateful person. But he had a soft side for his charge, he had given everything up for her after all. To see that she was safe was the only thing that made him happy.

Eri had offered to bring it back, but Izuku refused. He was happy, if he got his Quirk back, he might become how he used to be. The Japanese government might try the experiment again, trying to make him stronger by cloning the most powerful heroes and villains and making him kill them over and over again.

He didn't want to do that again. 'But, if it would get the Hounds off my back it'd be nice.' Izuku thought, remembering the Hounds, a mercenary group filled with powerful Quirks that keep trying to kill him.

'Once I find out who hired them, I'll kill them. I don't need my Quirk to strangle someone to death.' Izuku thought darkly.

He was brought out of his dark thoughts when Eri wanted to show him something. She touched the fish on her plate "Tada!" The fish was alive again, and started flopping around the plate.

"YOU IDIOT! I JUST FINISHED COOKING THE FUCKER!" Izuku screamed at her, but Eri just kept smiling proudly. "Take this…" Izuku quietened down picked up his fish, placing it on her plate as he grabbed the alive fish and put it into a bowl of water.

Eri looked down at her plate before looking back up to Izuku as he kept a close eye on the fish, making sure it acclimated to the temperature nicely.

Eri put both hands on her cheeks and squealed as she blushed. Izuku was her hero, and she loved him, even if he was an asshole sometimes.
