Kitty and Peter are on their Honeymoon and Kitty's mom, Terri, is helping look after the twins. Nope, still don't own them, they belong to Marvel.
Ilyana started crying, Terri pulled herself out of bed blearily and went over to pick the infant up. Scott had give Kitty and Peter one of the family suites at the school, so she didn't have to go downstairs to warm up bottles. She sat down at the table feeding the baby and staring at the sketchbook sitting on the table. She had found it on her first day here. Peter was a truly amazing artist.
Terri opened the book to the first picture, it was the one from the day she came after the twins were born. She was holding them on the chair, her face aglow with grandmotherly pride. The second was of the twins, asleep in their crib, Lockheed next to them. She had to admit the dragon had grown on her, an unusual pet to say the least, although Kitty insisted that he wasn't a pet. The third pictured Kitty sound asleep, a smile on her face.
The next few pictures focused on the daily life of the school, the students, classes, even a rainstorm that had moved through the area. A bonfire set the stage for another story as Kitty's gesturing hands suggested.
Another page and Kitty and Peter had gone to England a week before Andrew was born. Some comical moments set in charcoal, such as Kitty and Meggan trying to get through the same door at the same time. Kitty told her that when Meggan went into labor, she had gone to see her in her room at the hospital, as she went back to the waiting room, one of the doctor's tried to insist she was going the wrong way. It took her a few minutes to asure the man that she was visiting a friend.
At last she came to her favorite, it was an unguarded moment that she wasn't sure if Kitty new Peter had been observing her. Kitty sat on a bench in the garden here at Xavier's. Her hands rested on her belly, a soft smile on her face. She looked completely at peace with the world and everyone around her, the wind playing with her hair and the sun shining on her face.
Okay, short, but I like it!
