He'd gotten married.

Married. No longer single. He'd tied the knot, said his vows, walked down the aisle - 'til death do us part, married. No matter how many euphemisms Catherine used, it wouldn't change.

Warrick Brown was married.

She'd always thought there'd been something between them - some spark, or some small feeling of attraction.

Hah, she thought. Obviously not.

Because Warrick was married.

Warrick was kind, hot, smart, and had always been someone she thought she might have a chance with. But he'd been so shocked when she'd admitted the reason for her less-than-warm congratulations on his marriage. Clearly, it'd only been her fantasy, nothing more.

But she'd be happy for them, him and Tina. Everyone deserved happiness, and Warrick had been right - life was too short. Too short to stay stuck on fantasy. And Catherine didn't do bitter.

She'd move on, get over it. There were plenty of fish in the sea, after all.

No sense in dwelling. It was time to get back to reality, Catherine new, and she would.

He was just another unfulfilled fantasy.
