Kissing You

Hermione Granger was a proud person.

She was walking through the headquarter of the Order Of The Phoenix with her head helt high after saying goodbye to Draco Malfoy. Draco had left because he was spying at Voldemort for the order. It was dangerous. Hermione knew that. So did Draco. Everyone else knew it too, but none of them cared about it as much as Hermione.

She and Draco had become friends in the middle of the raging war, in the middle of the confusion, in the middle of the mess that were their lives at the moment.

Exactly how it had happened none of them knew, but suddenly they had found themselves sitting close each night looking at the stars and together praying for a better tomorrow.

Because of stupid differences in the past, nobody could know about their tradition and that is why Hermione had to use the fact the was a proud person to get through the goodbye in front of the judging eyes of others.

But Hermione took comfort in knowing that pride can stand a thousands trials.

She got through the rest of the day while hiding behind a mask of joy, when really she was fearing that dreadfull moment when the night would bring darkness with it to sorround the house in which she felt imprisoned, it would fill up the room in which she slept, dreamt, prayed, cried.

She would want to go outside to breathe and look at the stars, but there would be no other body to press against.

No matter how much Hermione had prayed for it not to happened, she couldn't stop the nightfall from coming. She decided not to go outside, but hide beneath the covers in her bed praying for a better tomorrow for both her and Draco.

Draco... Oh God where was he now? Was he hurt? Was he alive? Would she ever again look and fall into the depths of his silvery eyes?

There was so many questions and so many maybes.

Hermione pulled herself together "Remember that Draco is a strong person, and the strong will never fall."

The thought brought her comfort for some time, but sleep still wouldn't come and rid her from the horribleness of being awake. As silent as she could master she slipped out of her bed, out of her room and outside on the front lawn that had become a beautiful garden a couple of weeks ago when her and Draco had first sat and stargazed.

Finding their blanket she wrapped it around her shivering body, though she knew it was not the cold but the held back tears that made her shiver.

Oh how she wanted him to be there with her. To touch him, hug him, look at him, kiss him...

Yes, also kiss him. Becuase maybe his kiss could heal her heaving heart full of aching... So many maybes.

When she laid dow and turned her tearfull gaze to stars a deep need, hunger, after him stormed inside her body and she knew that watching stars without him made her soul cry. Cry after him.

Hermione had cried herself to sleep and when Draco found her she was wrapped in their blanket her face turned towards the starfull heaven above them. In her sleep he heard her mutter "Draco, where are you now? Where are you now?"

Her concerned words could heal his heaving heart full of aching. Softly he shook her awake while whispering "I'm here, right here."

They sat close together as they had done so many other night before this one. This night that had changed something.

There was no hesitation as their lips touched for the first time in a blissfull mixture of something pure and true. Their eyes connected and they both thought "Tomorrow will be better, 'cause I'm kissing you."
