Bruce looked up from his book and stared ahead of him for a moment, feeling rather incensed, when a giggle sounded from his right. He turned to look at Selina only to find her studying him, apparently quite humored.

"What?" he asked in confusion.

"Nothing," she replied, looking as if she was trying to restrain another giggle.

They were currently settled in Bruce's study at Wayne Manor. She had shown up a while ago, claiming she was bored, and just for the fun of it, he played along, pretending she didn't actually miss him, and he actually didn't miss her. And if that wasn't them, he didn't know what was.

"C'mon now, tell me what's so funny," Bruce said.

Selina gazed at him for a few seconds. Finally, she gave a small sigh and said with the hint of a smile," Alright, alright. It's just…you look cute."

He raised his eyebrows in reply. Selina Kyle, thinking anyone to be cute? She could be anyone's living nightmare if she wanted to, and the fact that she was capable of such emotions, fascinated him greatly. "I'm cute," he repeated with a smirk.

"No need to look so pleased." Selina punched lightly at his shoulder. "I just meant that I was watching you read, and your face went through, like, a hundred expressions on that one page alone. It was funny."

Bruce nodded slowly and got up, the grin still plastered on his face. "Well, you're adorable too. Even when hate me."

Selina's gleaming eyes followed him as he moved. He closed his book on his desk and faced her. "You hungry?" he said, waving the keys to his birthday gift.

"Ya know you showing off with that car of yours won't do you any favors with me", she said teasingly.

"So, you're not coming?"

"Nah, I'm coming."
