So, I know this scene has probably been used more times than I can count, but I had to write this anyway. It's set after the kissing scene between Rory and Jess in 6x18. It's meant to be a one-shot, but I don't quite know if it really should end there. If I have enough time ahnd ideas and if you want it, I'll probably continue.

This is my first Lit, not my first fanfic in general, but it's still a first, so please tell me what you think. Oh and, if there are any mistakes in it, I'm sorry. I'm from Germany, so English isn't my first language, but I try very hard to find my mistakes before I post my stories.

Please R&R!

Hours passed as she just sat inside her car. Rain dripped on the windows, but she didn't notice. She just kept repeating the kiss in her head.

Her intensions had been honourable when she went to Philly this morning. She hadn't expected something like this to happen. Or maybe she had, but she had refused to acknowledge the feelings, that rumoured inside of her. However, it had happened and now she sat here.

So many questions were running through her mind. Why did she kiss him back? Why did she get his hopes up just to crash them down afterwards? Why did she tell him she loved Logan? And why on earth did she run? Maybe it wasn't so hard o answer them after all. She had kissed him back, because it had felt right. And she ran, because that was what Gilmore Girls do.

The 'I love Logan' thing was harder to explain. She hadn't gotten back together with him, because she loved him. It felt just right and save to do so. Like it was somehow expected. Her grandparents would probably have killed her, when she would have told them she had broken up with the precious Logan Huntzberger – the gentleman, the Yale-student, the son of Mitchum Huntzberger! But Jess had been right in the first place. Logan was a jerk and she wasn't the kind of girl, which went out with guys like him. She had felt obligated to forgive him. Thus explained the being-together-with-Logan part, but not why she had told Jess she loved him. She had lied to him. She didn't love Logan anymore, maybe never really had. She had liked him, but love was so much more than that. Love was something, that could last a lifetime. Something, that could be hurt, but not be buried. And there was only one time in her whole life, when she had felt like that. There was only one guy, who had been that important to her and she just had ripped out his heart – once again.

She sighed. Somehow she had always been the one to do that. Maybe now she had rejected him one time to much. He wouldn't come back after this day, that was the only thing she was sure about. And that thought scared her. She didn't want to loose him. On the other side she knew that they couldn't be just friends. It would work for neither of them. But being with him was impossible. She had tried to be herself again, but she had changed after he left. Maybe even because he left. Her selfish side told her she should try anyway, but she knew it would just end with broken hearts, for both of them. Sighing she started the car and drove off. This had to end.

She didn't look back. Would she have done, she would have seen the black figure leaning on the brick wall of the book store watch her and then look up into the black sky. When her car was out of sight he went back inside with his heart ripped out, once again.
