Journey
By
Moonlit Showers
It was an ordinary day
When I walked on down the path
Where I made a small mistake
And became the object of great wrath
I was as clueless as they come
My mind confused at every turn
The events went by so quickly
I could use nothing that I'd learned
Through all this rabid chaos
As I ran from all my fears
In an unlikely place I discovered
A boy who was so near
I soon found myself at a crux
With a choice to live or die
So with my mortal heart
I chose to stay alive
With magic you were bound
To my inexperienced side
Although we were reluctant
We simply had to comply
Your rough and tumble ways
Combined with my ideals
Made for an extraordinary tale
I could hardly believe was real
A past of pain and heartache
Was slowly revealed to me
And I soon began to realize
How much you meant to me
We found a group of friends
Who were as loyal as they come
Surrounded by the laughter
We all had lots of fun
Within the arguments and secrets
Between the humor and the tears
A bound of friendship formed
That prevented all the fear
And I began to learn
As I watched with innocent eyes
All the cruelties of the world
All of the creatures in disguise
Pain and suffering was no stranger
In this land I found myself in
Past loves and endless murder
Made my heart nearly cave in
But I still wish the sun would shine
And warm up the icy land
Please let the raindrops fall
Onto my fragile hand
With a smile on my face
I hold on to my best friend
The one who I had found
The boy I'll stay with 'till the end.
A/N: This is my favorite poem so far and I hope you enjoyed it. Please don't forget to review.
