I woke up hoping it would be a normal day. It was anything, but that. Glancing into my brother's room he was still asleep. I wasn't planning on a normal day. For today was special, today I would finally tell Amy how I feel and ask her to be my wife.

BUT THING NEVER GO AS PLANNED AROUND HERE.

I was on my way to Amy's house when I was attacked by a ball of purple fire. "Sonic the hedgehog" a deep voice said. "Who are you, and where are you?" I asked looking around. "I am hidden in the shadows."

At this moment Shadow finally emerged from my house hearing the voice.

"What the?" We both took off into the forest. There we were face to face with a dark cloud which quickly took a dark form of Shadow. "You two are destined to die now. For I Mephelis the Dark, have come to destroy you." Shadow glanced at me.

"Why us?" Shadow asked. "Because," Mephelis answered "if I don't destroy you, it will be the downfall of me." We both looked at him.

"How is that?" Shadow asked before running behind him giving him a kick to the head. "If I tell you it would be a problem." Mephelis answered. "You, Shadow join me and I promise you answers to your past as well." Shadow looked at him as if he were pondering the idea.

"Shadow! Snap out of it!" He glanced at me and nodded "I say we double team him." I nod in reply. and take off running in a circle around him. "Gahh, the light!" He disappeared to the flame our speed caused.

"I have a feeling he will be back." Shadow said returning to his usual gloomy self. "If he is we will be ready for him." As Shadow and I emerged from the forest we were met by two strange characters. "Sir Sonic and Sir Shadow you are wanted at the castle."

When me and Shadow arrived at the castle the Queen of Emerald and the Queen of Wysteia were standing there with their newborn children.

Queen Rowan on Emerald spoke. "Sonic, and Shadow as knights of both of our kingdoms we request your services."

Shadow and I stood from our kneeling positions. "What is it my Queen?"

This time Queen Starlet spoke. "Our children have been threatened by a dark shadow. Will you take them far away and keep them safe. For on their eighteenth birthdays he will return."

Queen Rowan hand me her child. "Please protect Blaze for she has been trusted with a great power."

As Queen Starlet handed a small white hedgehog to Shadow she whispered to him."When the world has you down, listen to your heart son, if you listen closely you will know what to do. I love you Silver. I hope I see you soon."

Shadow and I held the children close as we walked out of the castle.

Our new mission had begun.
