'Come ON, Bella!' Narcissa urged, dumping her trunk onto the platform impatiently.
'Sure, sure…' Reluctantly, Bellatrix untangled herself from Rodolfus, giggling as he leaned over to whisper something in her ear.
Scanning the crowd hopefully, Narcissa suddenly squealed; 'Look, there they are!'.
Standing with a deliberate gap between themselves and the general crowd, Mr and Mrs Black looked disdainfully at passing families of Gryffindors.
'What has happened to the wizarding world?' Cygnus muttered, watching a small child playing with a woodlouse on the floor. His wife patted his arm comfortingly. 'Here's Bellatrix and Narcissa.'
'Mum! Dad!' Narcissa heaved her trunk along behind her as she rushed to greet them.
Bellatrix marched along behind, tossing her hair in the direction of Rodolfus, who was wheeling her trunk. 'Honestly, Cissy!' She rolled her eyes as Narcissa hugged her mother.
'Have a nice year, girls?' Druella asked, brushing off the front of her robes.
'Oh, it was fabulous,' Narcissa began excitedly, 'There's this-'
'Andromeda!' Druella gushed. 'How are you, darling? A prefect; how exciting!'
Narcissa scowled and stomped off to stand next to Bellatrix.
Cygnus let out an exasperated sigh. 'Okay girls… Ah, Abraxas! How lovely to see you!' He made his way over to a blonde haired man, who was standing stiffly, muttering under his breath. Next to him, identical to his father except for size, Lucius Malfoy sat, staring.
'Narcissa!' Druella hissed, nudging her daughter. 'Little Lucius is staring at you'
'No, mum.' Bellatrix snorted. 'He's staring at me!'
'Don't be silly, Bellatrix, he's only little. Must be one of Narcissa's little admirers.'
Narcissa blushed with pleasure.
'Go and talk to him!' Her mother insisted, propelling Narcissa over to where Lucius was sitting.
Lucius blinked, and forced his eyes away from Bellatrix. 'Hello?' He addressed Narcissa, who was now sitting next to him, leaning forwards and pouting.
'Hello, Lucius' she breathed, sighing heavily and staring a little too intently in an effort to seduce him.
From across the platform, Druella spoke happily to her husband. 'He's a nice boy, good family.'
'Well, Abraxas-'
'Yes, Cygnus, I know; Abraxas can trace his pureblood roots back to the tenth century. You've told me. '
Cygnus nodded, looking a little put out.
'Well, that's one sorted. We'll sort something out for those two once their of age. Bellatrix seems to like that Rodolphus boy. Good family, but abnormally broad shouldered, the lot of them. Now, Andromeda deserves the best, I just hope...'
'Stop fussing, sweetheart, it's not as if she's going to run off and marry and a muggle now is it?' He snorted.
'Yes, yes of course she won't… Well I suppose we'd better be off now.' She raised her wand and pointed it at the luggage, causing it to float along behind them. 'NARCISSA? We're leaving now, darling'
'Well, I'll see you after the summer' Narcissa tossed her hair over her shoulder as she stood to leave. 'Next year will be great, won't it?'
'Um, yes, it will.' Lucius nodded uncomfortably, staring over Narcissa's head at her older sister.
As they watched, Lucius stood up and whispered something to his father. Abraxas widened his eyes and turned an unhealthy shade of purple. 'LUCIUS MALFOY YOU ARE NOT A GAY SEA OTTER!'
The platform fell silent.
