She shuts her eyes, preserved in this moment forever.

The moment she'd waited for.

The moment she craved so badly.

Finally, as their lips part, she can't help but wonder.

Why on earth did it take this long?

"I love you,"
Three simple words.

Yet the most powerful when put together.

This is the story of Vicky and Teddy, a love like no other.

When she was a baby and he was two, he begged to see her.

He was amazed by her beauty, the sweetness of her bright blue eyes and the cuteness of her laugh when his hair changed colours.

When she was three and he was five, she couldn't wait for a sleepover.

"When is Teddy coming?" She would ask every two minutes.

She was overjoyed when she saw him.

"Teddy Bear!" She cried, jumping into his arms.

"Vicky!" He cooed. The two danced for hours to Crazy in Love by Beyoncé.

When she was seven and he was nine, they went camping.

They chased each other around for ages before they sat by the campfire, singing songs and roasting marshmellows.

Teddy and Victoire fell asleep with her head on his shoulder and his arm around her neck on a beanbag by the fire.

When he was eleven and she was nine, she didn't want him to leave.

"You can't go," She pleaded with him, "Not without me!"
"Vicky," He promised her, "I have to. I'm going to Hogwarts!"
"I'll miss you," She complained. He tickled her.

And they laughed all the way to Kings Cross.

When he was thirteen and she was eleven, she was left behind. Again.

"I want to go to Hogsmeade!" She argued, stamping her foot.

"You can't," Teddy procrastinated, "You're too young,"

"Fine,"

She ran off crying and he didn't go.

When she was fifteen and he was seventeen, she wanted to use magic.

"You're underage," That's what they all said.

She thought Teddy would be different.

"No," He said.

"Teddy!"

"No!"

She didn't talk to him for days and he felt guilty for years afterwards.

Now the moment had come.

She didn't want them to part.

Never.

But they did.

"Teddy," She began.

Sorry.

For everything.

But as James came barrelling around the corner, they left everything unsaid.

But they knew.

They understood.

Because they are Vicky and Teddy, a couple like no other.
