Alice In Wonderland

Chapter 1: My Life
I was running, the fastest I had ever ran in my life. What was after me? The creature was huge, and its eyes were black with hints of red in them. I couldn't make out anything else because I was to determined to find a place to hide. All of a sudden, I tripped. The beast! " AHHHH"
I woke up from my horrible nightmare. I have been having strange dreams like this for about a month or so. What could be the cause for this? Before I could think anymore, there was someone knocking on my door.
"Come in," I insisted. The lady that came in was a maid. She was an older lady, but looked very well for her age. The dress she had on was yellow with white lace around the neck and blue lace around her waist. She brought in a tray of food and a letter.
"Good morning Alice," she said in an English accent," how was your night?"
"It… uh, was good." I answered hesitantly. I couldn't tell people about my crazy dreams. The maid would tell Mother and she would worry too much.
"Alright, well here is your breakfast and I got a special message for you from your mother. She would tell you in person but she already left." The maid handed me the tray with my breakfast and the letter. She left like she was in a hurry. A hurry for what? I would think about that later. First, I must read this letter from Mother.
Dear Alice,
I am sorry about not telling you this in person, but I had to leave as soon as possible. You were asleep when I got the message, but I had enough time to write this. There is going to be a ball in a few days and everyone is going to be invited. I have to make some of the arrangements, so I will not be back until this event is over. You are going to be picked up the day of the event, so please, Alice, be ready. See you soon.
