A small pop echoes out across the ocean as Teddy Lupin appeared on the beach of Shell Cottage. He had made a habit to visit Vic and her parents in the days before her birthday, as this was the time that Harry became incessantly touchy and never gave him any peace. Teddy slowly started to walk to the door as he heard harsh french voices coming from inside. Pausing to listen, Teddy wondered if he had walked up on an argument.
"Victoire Celesté Weasley, revenez ici en ce moment!" the voice of Fleur Delacour yelled, "I just don't understand!" she finished in English. Teddy watched as the beautiful part-veela stalked across her kitchen, her face slightly red from the heated conversation. The other voice, he recognised as Victoire, answered angrily.
"No, you don't mama! I'm not your perfect little girl anymore," her voice was shaking as she appeared in the kitchen window. Teddy's jaw dropped as he took in the new vision that she had become. She had changed her entire normal outfit, her neat skirt and cardigan had shifted to skinny jeans and a leather jacket. Teddy eyes slowly moved to her hair which was now a striking shade of purple.

"Victoire! Why would you want to do this?" Fleur indicated to her daughters' hair with a sad look. Victoire just let out a large huff and shook her head. From outside, Teddy could see Bill standing by the door watching their interaction. He watched at the eldest Weasley son moved to stand beside his wife.
"What your other is saying, is that you should have asked us. You have no idea what reputation you could create for yourself," he said calmly.
"I don't want to be the goody-two-shoes anymore, just because of who my family is. Teddy changes his hair colour all the time and no one makes a big deal!" she called as she moved to the door and pulled it open, running out onto the beach. She took a deep breath and ran her fingers through her hair. Her eyes landed on Teddy and he saw that they were red rimmed, she had been crying. They looked at each other without talking, Teddy's heart beating in his ears as he said:
"You look great!"
With a smile that he had never seen before, Victoire closed the gap between them and, without hesitation, pressed her lips to his.
"Thanks," she said as she pulled away.

Teddy liked this new Victoire.
