Drew Hayden stood leaning on a bridge, in the middle of a park filled the light of the setting sun, waiting for a certain brunette. He contemplated what he should say to make her angry this time, for the more he got to know May Maple, the harder it seemed to find flaws in this aspiring coordinator. Her skills were improving, to say the least, and her remarks were getting wittier. Yes, he was rubbing off on her, this young, beautiful rival of his. Ah young love, the factor burdening his thoughts and dream and interfering with his day to day life. Drew gazed about the park, mind clouded with images of her, when, speak of the devil, or rather think, he glanced upon May wandering through the park, looking stunning as ever in pale green summer dress. A green dress, he mused, wondering if she was thinking of him when she bought it. Bah, he shouldn't fill his mind with such hopes, that this girl might possibly like, no love, him as much as he did her. He knew she had at least a slight crush on him, that much was obvious to any passerby, and he hoped to let a little bit of the extremity that he felt for her show. After riling her up a bit first, that is.
Finally, the long awaited moment came as May finally reached the bridge on which Drew stood, rose in hand. He didn't look up at her, though very aware of her presence, instead he watched the psyduck in the pond below him intently. After what seemed like hours of silence between the two, in which May had come to lean on the bridge next to him, Drew spoke.
"You know, psyduck remind me of you, so stupid, clumsy, and ignorant."
"Is that why you invited me here, to compare me to a psyduck?" May asked, her temper starting to rise.
"Partially." Drew answered in a calm and cool manner, a smirk gracing his face.
"Partially? Well why else am I here?" May asked, annoyed but curious.
"Eh, you probably don't want to know anyways." Drew said, keeping his façade, smirking growing by the second.
"Keep up that smirk Hayden, and your face will freeze that way." Said May in an attempt to change the subject.
Drew sighed, "Do you really want to know why you are here? There are three reasons actually."
"Ooh tell me tell me!" May squealed.
"Alright, number one, I guess you felt like coming because no one can really make you come, number two, do this," Drew gave May a peck on the lips, causing her to gape and blush insanely," and three, because I have always wanted to do this to someone." Drew said as he pushed the girl standing next to him into the pond. May screamed as she fell into the freezing water.
"YOU JERK!" May yelled shivering as Drew jumped in after her. He swam up to her, wrapping his arms around her tiny waist and kissing her sweetly.
"May Maple, this is the start of a beautiful friendship."
