AN/Warnings: This is my favorite canon couple. Spoilers for the end of the TYL arc.
She isn't going to grow up.
She won't grow old to become beautiful like her mother.
She has no plans on having any children like her; this is the end of an old old family line.
Still, she can dream. And she does. She has not-so-prophetic dreams of growing old and having him love her as an adult, as she has wanted to be loved by him since she first heard the word. They have children in a safe, mafia-less world, where Uncle Reborn teaches them how to swim and not how to assassinate. Everyone is happier in this world, less scarred. And it's enough for her to dream it rather than live it.
If she wanted, she could destroy the worlds like Byakuran and no one would be able to stop her. Not even the Vongolla Sky Guardian and his Family could harm her. She could destroy the worlds and have him for herself and live a long happy life. She could. But she won't. Her heart is too pure and her soul is too kind and even just being next to him for the short duration of her life is enough. And when he steps into the barrier with her, all gentle kindness and soft caresses that make her wish she was an adult, she is the happiest she has ever been, ever will be, and maybe this is a bit selfish of her, but right now, dying with him is like living those dreams with him.
