For so long,
I lived in darkness,
wanting
nothing more
but a Light to show the way.
A Light I was given,
but Fate was so cruel,
and took away my Light,
and gave me back
the darkness that was my
hiding place.
You told me
all the things I wanted to hear,
but when push came to shove,
you were flippant;
annoying, and betrayal
was your weapon.
Prejudiced and filled with contempt,
you hated me,
I, who had only loved you.
You fought me,
and with supposed beauty on your side,
you won.
But at what cost?
AN: Okay, so this is the first poem, as of yet without a title, regarding Erik's feelings on Christine's betrayal. Not all poems will be from the POV of Erik, but many of them more than likely will be. The last line is meant to be ironic. Anyways, R&R, please! CC is welcome, flames are not.
