A/N Not quite a drabble but still very short. I just wanted to do something like this.
Disclaimer: If you think I own any of this I suggest you get some mental help.
I look all through the house for her but there is no other human in this house. She hasn't responded to our letters for a week. Her parents were killed a month before she came back from Hogwarts so we were, as expected, very worried about our Hermione.
Seventh year had just ended as had the war so when Hermione found out about her parents it was a very sad day.
Three tall, tanned, men were standing in the doorway with Professors McGonagall and Dumbledore, all three men had blue eyes and brown hair like Hermione but instead of curls there hair was in soft waves. Hermione's face fell when she noticed their sullen expressions and she got up from her seat and walked to the men and lady.
"Spencer, Rick, Tristan what are you doing here?" we heard her query.
They looked at their audience and then went into the hallway and closed the great hall doors. We hear talking and then the most high pitched scream you could imagine. Ron and I jumped from our seats and went to go see what the screaming was about. Hermione was being hugged by all three men, all were sobbing. She was still screaming and crying.
"H-Hermione? What's the matter?"
She faced us and mumbled "My-my parents they, Voldemort, he found them, he-he killed them ."
Hermione wasn't the same after that. She was broken. She didn't answer questions in class as readily as she use to she took her time to raise her hand.
After seventh year finished Molly offered her a place at the Burrow which she declined. Her brothers didn't show up to collect her so we inquired to the reason.
"Hermione, where are your brothers?" I asked.
"I have to catch a taxi home. No big deal. I'll see you guys in a few weeks."
She smiled and waved then ran out the door and into a taxi.
She said she went to live with her brothers but she really went to live at home alone, which is what brought us here. It was raining outside so we didn't think she'd be out there but we heard laughing, Hermione's laugh.
What we saw was the happiest thing Hermione had done in a long time. Hermione was dancing and laughing in the rain. We yelled at her asking "What are you doing?"
She stopped dancing and ran over to us. She gave us each a big hug, smiling.
Then she answered "My mum and I would always dance in the rain together. I want to stop being sad, I need to stop being sad and this is always how Mum would cheer me up, rain, sun or wind this is how I'd cheer up. I need this."
A/N Tragedy right? Happy ending though, I've always thought that Hermione's parents wouldn't survive the war and I always leaned towards the illusion that Hermione had siblings. I've wanted to do a short fic about dancing in the rain so here you go. Review!
