A slightly depressing story, but it explains why Sherlock and Mycroft don't really get on, also sort of explains why Sherlock was so terrified of jumping off a building.
I don't own Sherlock, but I wish I did. I do own Charlene – I made her up for this story, she is Sherlock's twin sister who is 3 or 4 minutes older than him this story takes place when Sherlock and Charlene are 7 and Mycroft is 14.
By the way, this is one-shot but I may do more chapters if I get asked to
Sherlock and Charlene were playing on the roof of one of the tallest buildings in Cardiff, the sun was going down for the evening, making the sky look like it was on fire and the twins were playing pirates. They were sitting in a large cardboard box. Sherlock was very proud that he and his sister had managed to work together, finding a box big enough for them to both sit in, then carry it up all 18 levels of the apartment building they were staying in whilst on holiday.
"Dinner's ready" Mycroft called, as he joined the two on the roof, "you really should come down, it's getting cold."
"Awwwww" the twins cried in unison
"But we've almost finished our game, and it would be illogical to stop now!" Charlene said
"Mycroft! You should play with us, I'm the captain, and Charlene is a rogue pirate trying to take over my ship!" Sherlock explained
"But I want to eat my dinner." Mycroft replied, putting on a rather faked, sad face.
"Eating's boring! Playing pirates is fun" Sherlock said, handing Mycroft a sword.
"Oh, fine" Mycroft agreed "but only if you two have dinner when we're done"
"Yay!" the two seven year olds exclaimed.
Sherlock and Charlene sit together in the box, fighting Mycroft who was standing just outside the box.
"WATCH OUT OR I'LL TICKLE YOU!" Mycroft yelled, he dropped his sword and reached both his arms over and tickled both the children who giggled excitedly. Nobody noticed that as Mycroft tickled the two of them, the cardboard box was being pushed closer to the edge of the rooftop.
"Stop it!" Charlene continued to giggle, until she felt the box start to drop, just a little, Sherlock and Mycroft keep laughing and playing, Charlene didn't.
"ABANDON SHIP!" she screamed, Charlene grabbed her twin brother and shoved him into Mycroft as the box fell over the edge of the building roof, Charlene still inside.
that night, Sherlock was in bed crying, he never cried quite like this, Mycroft had told his parents what happened and his parents told Sherlock that Charlene was going to be away for a while. Sherlock knew the truth, he was there when it happened, Charlene was dead, and there was nothing anyone could say to disprove that. Sherlock had seen it happen, he knew how it happened, it didn't take a genius to work it out, Mycroft had killed his own sister.
So, I hope you all enjoyed that, I mean the writing, not the fact that someone died, if you enjoyed that aspect of it then I am very sorry for you. Please review, I will make more chapters about the after-events if I get asked to, or I could write more family stories of before this happened, or if anyone wants to adopt the character Charlene, then you are most welcome t PM me and we can discuss it. PLEASE REVIEW! This is my first Sherlock story and I really want to know what I did well or not-so-well. I welcome positive and negative reviews and I would really lie you all to review, thanks!
