Add a Baby, Then We'll date

A few conniving friends, meddling families, come-back boyfriends, a curse and a swollen tummy. Dating has never been this complicated… I think.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Gakuen Alice.

Prologue

Moi, unlucky? I guess so and even more than that I believe. Dating has never been easy but honestly, it just turned from bad to worse. I would probably describe it as something more of like… umm… uh… challenge. Don't get me wrong. I don't hate men. And I definitely don't want to die with sixty-four cats. I was a little luckier in love until a curse hit me a few years back.

The "three month dating limit curse". Just the mere words make me shiver in fright. I suppose, you think of me as crazy for believing such curse. For such things only happen in the world of supernatural movies, anime and manga. But do believe me, such curse really do exist. I'm telling you the truth, I swear!

It happened in Alice University. I was a little around nineteen back then. I was not this unlucky… well that is, until I met this guy. He was everything a girl could wish for. He was handsome, rich and very prince-like. I bet if you met him during that time, you'll probably fall in love with him too. So, do you believe me that he was really that good-looking? What? You don't believe in what I'm saying again. How could you?! Nonetheless, wether you think of me as a liar, I'll continue on. It was love at first sight, for my part I mean. Like every girl in school, I did everything to make him like me back and I mean literally everything; from making his lunch to waiting after class.

An ill-fated morning changed everything I've been dreaming of. The flowers, church, ring and the white picket fence came crashing down on me. Not literally though, figuratively. Like any other morning, I waited for him in the school grounds, hoping that this day would be finally the glorious day he would answer my undying love. And yes, it was the day but not how I dreamt it to be.

"Prince…" I said dreamily.

I held out my love filled home-cooked lunch. I stared into his blue eyes.

"Sakura." He called out. I felt my mouth hang open. This was definitely a first. He reached for my wrist and he lowered my stretched-out arms. There was something different in his eyes.

'I knew it' I said to myself. He lowered his face. And suddenly, I felt my legs turned into Jelly. I closed my eyes, waiting for his lips to touch mine. 'Finally… finally… finally..." I shouted inwardly.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five.

Where the hell were my kiss and the confession? I slowly peeked. What was taking him so long? I opened my eyes fully. He was staring at me with the same glint I saw earlier.

"Pri.."

"What were you waiting for?" His voice filled with disgust. "A kiss? I don't do commoners." He laughed.

I wasn't able to talk. What happened to my prince? He glared at me. Slowly, he lowered his face again. But now I knew, not to kiss me. His lips right beside my ear.

"You know Sakura, you would never have a boyfriend that would last for three months."

What? In my shock, I dropped the forgotten lunch, spilling its contents on the ground. I felt the need to look into his eyes. He smirked at me and walked away. All I was able to do was to stare at his retreating figure. What happened to my prince? I asked myself.

Why he did that curse to me? Honestly, I was still a mystery I was yet to provide an answer to. I never saw him again but one thing is for sure, his curse was truly working. From then on and until now that I am twenty-three, as true as he had said; I never had a boyfriend that lasted for more than a hundred days.

His name you ask? I refuse to disclose such information. Speaking his name might just worsen the curse. And you never know, maybe if you read his name, the curse might be able to reach you. I hope you do understand where I am standing, I fear for your and my safety.

And if you think this was complicated enough, think again. You should wait until later in the story.

Dating had never been this hard.

Next:

"He broke up with me."

"Be careful dear, you're on the rebound.

"Are you trying to seduce me?"

"Is it working?"

Author's Note: Yo. Thanks for reading. I got the idea from a book and a t.v. show some you might be familiar with. I'll discuss that further some other time. :D But I won't be following the storyline of both. Um… I think I need a beta… BADLY. Suggestions and comments are always welcome.
