Tohru sat on the hospital floor besides her mother wondering if she should say something to her dying mother.
Will you be here forever?
Never go away?
She stared deep into her mother's cold face praying that she would make it. She grasped her hand, tears filled into her eyes hoping for a miracle, but…
Never thought things would change
Hold me tight
Please don't say again that you have to go
Tohru cried in agony as a long dreary shrill filled the room, leaving Tohru holding her mother for dear life as her body began to go cold. "Please don't go!" Tohru cried, "Don't leave me here by myself, PLEASE!"
A bitter thought, I had it all, but I just let it go.
Hold your silence, it's so violent since you're gone!
Tohru, now in the hospital lobby, sat with bloodshot eyes thinking about all the things her mother sacrificed for her. Now that she was gone, she did not know what to do.
All my thoughts are with you forever, until the day we'll be back together
I will be waiting for you.
Time eventually went by and Tohru, now walking by her mother's grave thought above the time she had with her late mother. "Please wait for me okaa-san. One day I will share your warm embrace with you and otou-san.
If I had told you, you would've listened, you had stayed.
You would be here forever, never went away.
Tohru knew that if she had told her mom something before she had left, her mother would still be by her side
It would never have been the same, all the time would have been in vain
Cause you had to go
"If only you were here..." Tohru thought. "Everything would be fine now, just me, you, and all of my dear friends...together." Tohru walked out of the grave site and out to find a place called home.

When you're gone
As she walked, she began to think of all the support she had been receiving by her best friends Hana-chan and Uo-chan. Then she finally realized that even with all of the great things in her life, she must grasp every moment she has with them since they won't always be with her forever.
All my thoughts are with you forever, until the day we'll be back together
I will be waiting for you.
After an hour of walking, Tohru found a spot in the forest that she could call "home". As she began to put the tent up a photo of her mother fell out of her bag. Quickly she grabbed it and stared at her late mother's face. Tears began to fall lightly down her face and down onto her cheeks when she finally said "Just wait for me mom. I'm coming…I'm coming"
