Danielle POV
"And the winner of Season Three of The Voice is…" I felt like my heart was about to pop out of my chest.
"Danielle Bradbery!" My jaw just dropped and my family and Blake came running on stage! I couldn't believe that I won The Voice! We walked backstage and everyone came up to me and congratulated me. And then Hunter Hayes walked up to me and hugged me and congratulated me. I still can't believe I just got done performing with him.
"Hey congrats." He said with a huge smile on his face.
"Thank you." I said.
"How do you feel?" He asked.
"My heart still feels like it's about to pop out of my chest but besides that I feel amazing." I said.
"You are amazing." He said and smiled at me. I then got a tap on my shoulder and when I turned around it was Blake.
"Hey we have to go now, for a interview." He said and started to pull me away,
"I'll talk to you later." I heard Hunter yell and I turned around and waved at him. I didn't want to leave him but I had to. He has always been my crush and when I finally met him tonight and sung with him I just lost it. I felt some kind of spark and connection. I couldn't explain it. All I know is that I want to be with him!
Hunter POV
After watching her walk away I walked back to the band and started to pack up my guitar and stuff. Then I remembered I got Danielle's number earlier today. I got out my phone and leaned up against the wall. I clicked on her contact and pressed call. I kept on ringing and ringing and it felt like forever. It then went straight to voice mail. I then realized she probably didn't like me the same way I liked her. I mean ever since her audition I realized there was something about her that no other had. I realized that I like her. I got up and walked back to my guitar and finished putting it in my truck. My phone then started ringing.
"Hello." I said answering the phone.
"Hey, did you call me?" I heard Danielle on the side of the phone ask.
"Yeah I just wanted to see if you wanted to go out for lunch tomorrow?" I asked her with a lump in my throat and a knot in my stomach.
"Yeah sure that would be great." She said and then I just let out a huge sigh.
"Thank god. I thought you were going to say no." I said and chuckled.
"I wouldn't say no to you. Oh and where do you want to meet and what time?" She asked.
"How about the Burger Joint at 1:30? I know it's a little late I just have something to do at 12:00." I said.
"Yeah that's fine and I totally understand 1:30 is perfectly fine with me." She said. We then said our goodbyes and I got in my truck and drove to my apartment. When I laid down in my bed I looked up at the ceiling and just thought about her and our performance tonight. I needed her.
