Sitting in my hotel room, I nearly fall off the bed when Paul Heyman says those 3 words to Edge….Matt Freaking Hardy. He spit most of his beer out and had one of those shocked looks on his face. Then the "You screwed Matt" chants started. And people wonder why I didn't show up tonight. I wanted to be there; after all I used to be Miss Congeniality. I did love Matt, but I am with Edge now and I do love him.
Dawn looked good. When she was announced as being there, I was a little shocked considering she is pregnant. They tried to cover it up tonight and did a fairly good job of doing so. It was good to see the ECW guys back together. Tommy, Sandman, Rhyno, the Dudley's with Spike, Lance, Al Snow, RVD, even Benoit and Jericho, Eddie and Rey. I am glad Mick announced. It was good to see them all. And when Steve Austin came out at the end, I thought the WWE guys were going to drop.
Of course Steve had to go and insult the WWE guys, goad them into coming to the ring. I tried not to cheer too loud when the stars of ECW kicked the Raw and Smackdown stars out of the ring. I didn't hold back my excitement when Taz (with one Z) locked in the Tazmission on Kurt Angle. It was certainly good to see the man from Red Hook back in action. And when Eric got his at the end, I did a goofy dance around the room. The PPV is over now and Edge will be back soon.
Edge comes in the room and gives me that "I know what you were doing/watching" look. He knows I bought the PPV and I figure he knows I cheered for my former ECW family. He knows I wanted to be there myself and knows in some ways I am glad I wasn't. I go over and put my arms around his waist and lay my head on his chest. He reciprocates the gesture and tilts my head up to meet his for a kiss. I tell him I love him. He tells me I know, I love you too. He goes for a shower while I change for bed. I do love that man. Edge, my sweet Adam, I do love you.
