Mayalah: Well, there's school, but that doesn't have much to do with it. My dad got Windows XP Professional, and when he uploaded it at some point the disk the fan fiction was saved on disappeared. So, as consolation, here's this one shot until I'm able to update my stories. I don't own what I borrow for my stories.

Kagome sat contemplating things. Who'd have guessed that things would turn out this way… she smiled. 'And I wouldn't have it any other way.' She remembered how it all started…
Flashback
Kagome was walking towards the well, when she was attacked. She immediately got out her katana and parried. Then, dodging from a slash from the idiotic yokai who foolishly attacked her. With the special training she'd gotten from her friends and her full miko powers activated when Kikyo gave her back the rest of the soul, the yokai was far too weak to defeat her, and was soon dead. Then she heard someone clapping and felt someone unmasking their aura. "How long have you been standing there?" The stranger had red hair and green eyes.
He replied smugly. "Long enough to here you whistling a child's tune just before you were attacked. I'm Kurama, by the way." 'Suichi, there's something about this girl. Get to know her.' 'You can already tell?' 'Yup.'
She returned the courtesy by giving him her own name. 'For some reason, I already think I can trust him.' "I'm Kagome Higurashi. You're a kitsune. A silver, I believe."
He nodded. "You're one as well. Except you're a midnight elemental instead. As well as a miko."
She stared at him, wide eyed, but nodded. 'No one knows that I'm a yokai except for Shippo, Inuyasha, Sango, Kilala, Kaede, and Miroku, because I told them.' "Yes. As a matter of fact, I am." 'Shippo will probably want to meet him. Plus, I want to get to know him. I get a good feeling about him...'
She later met the Spirit Detectives. She also convinced Shizuru and Yukina to train with her and join them along with her, which was a major asset considering Kuwabara's not only a baka, but fairly weak as well. (Kuwabara: Hey! I'm not a baka or weak! Mayalah: Suuuree you aren't.)She even befriended Hiei and, quickly figuring out his secret, convinced him to tell Yukina that he's her brother. Long before then she had realized she only cared for Inuyasha as a brother.
End Flashback
The Spirit Detectives had decided to join them in their quest. The more Kagome and Kurama got to know one another, the more they realized they were falling for one another. When they Finally defeated Naraku, Sesshomaru was already a friend, and Kagura and Kanna quickly became friends with the expanded group. Sango even got Kohaku back. Later, Miroku and Sango and later Kagome and Kurama were married. Yusuke and Keiko even got married. 'Yes, things are perfect.' Kagome smiled.
"Kagome? What are you doing?"
"Nothing, koi. Just remembering." She leaned up and kissed her husband, and they sat and watched the stars and remembered together.

Mayalah: Well, that was the story. So, what did you think?
Shippo: I thought it was fairly good.
Inuyasha: Feh. What would you know?
Shippo: More than you would. (Inubaka hits Shippo on the head) Wahh! Kagome, Inuyasha hit me!
Kagome: Inuyasha! Sit! (thud)
