The End
Summary: Kenpachi gives his Yachiru away.
Kenpachi Zaraki was nervous, something he only ever felt with Yachiru, but he should have seen this day coming. Today, right this moment, Kenpachi was walking his beautiful, matured, young lady of a daughter, Yachiru Kusajishi, down the aisle to her soon to be husband. The moment Kenpachi both dreaded and hoped for.
Kenpachi hadn't been the story book father, in fact, he hadn't even been trying, but apparently he'd done well. From picking her when she fell to carrying her 24/7, from bathing her and making her brush her teeth, even from simply teaching her to read and write; he'd done good. It was at this moment that Kenpachi began to remember and cherish the little things, when she'd share her candy, when they took naps together, when they sparred.
But now, Yachiru didn't need daddy anymore, his job was now her husband's. soon, Kenpachi would be just that, Kenpachi, no more Captain Zaraki and Lieutenant Kusajishi, nor more Kenpachi and Yachiru, no more Kenny and Ken-chan; just Kenpachi.
Kenpachi wondered if he could survive loneliness again. If he could live.
"And who gives this young flower away?"
Kenpachi swallowed and looked to Yachiru, Kami she was beautiful; he almost wanted to cry.
Yachiru smiled her signature: 'everything is alright' smile. "You'll always be my daddy Kenny," she whispered.
"I do," Kenpachi finally said, he looked up. "As her father."
End.
I'll let you imagine who her husband is since I couldn't think of one other than Kenny.

Bonus Scene: The Speech/Toast
Kenpachi silently stood, scanning the room; he looked to the floor.
"I never though this day would come; marriage," he chuckled breathlessly, "I guess I had always thought Yachiru and I would remain together forever, that it'd always be us. That was stupid.
"You all knew, just by looking at me that I was a tough guy, a brute, the thing parents tell their kids about, to stay away from. Many thought Yachiru wouldn't get anywhere with me around and I agreed. But here today, giving her away, made me think of everything we've done to get this far, everything I've done for her. I can't help but thing, I did good.
"Even though Yachiru is starting over again, this time in a different forma and without a father but a husband, I'll always be there for her.
"Yachiru was always on my back, but now I'm on hers."
