Kallen was staring fixedly up at him, with a scowl on her face. It was so endearing that he couldn't resist the chance to tease her. "Mesmerized by my eyes?"
If possible, she scowled even more. "No. Just thinking."
"About?"
"You're too tall."
He leaned down and kissed her. "If that was all, you could've just asked!"
Her face immediately turned red. "Who said I wanted to kiss you?"
"Just a guess."
If possible, her sputtering as she searched for an answer that wasn't obscenities or a kick to the crotch was even more endearing than her scowl.
