We've been friends for a while now
Almost as long as I can remember
We've been through so much
But I think the significance is gone
Because you still love him
After everything that's happened
You still love him
Even after what he did
You'll always love him
And I guess I'll be nothing more
You're still waiting, waiting for him
To come back with that same smile
And be the same as he was back then
And honestly, so am I
Unfortunately we know the truth
He won't be back
Yet you'll still love him
We know this to be true
You'll still love him
No matter what I'd try to do
I'll always love you
Even though you don't feel the same
I'll always protect you
And be nothing more than a friend
Well there it is. I'm thinking about making a story of this but I'll decide whether or not to do this next week. Try to guess who's writing the poem, who he's talking about and who is "him"
