Prologue.
Finding the child.
The full moon was shining brightly on the ink-blue star filled sky and a small warm breeze was making the grass and leaves rustle quietly, filling the air with the sleepy music of a normal summer night. None of this gave even a hint about the events that would take place at any moment. Around three in the morning the lawn was lit up by a mysterious multicolor light after a moment a huge gate opened and two human forms slowly became visible. As soon as they came through, the gate and the strange lights disappeared.
- Are you sure this is the place? Looks like a normal house to me…
- It's been 200 years since you've become a full-time shinigami and you still can't sense the spiritual presence of human being. I wonder how you manage to become a division captain…
- Shut it, Abarai… you know very well how it happened and why…
- Yeah… Anyway… let's find the source of the energy and get the job done…
And so the two Gods of Death went into the small house. The spiritual trail led them to the nursery, where they found two infants… two young girls… one of which was the source of the energy.
- Ok, this is strange…
- No shit. Who would have guessed… An infant with this big potential…
- Yeah… what are we going to do?
- What do you mean, Kurosaki? Our job of course…
- Abarai, you dork! You can't lock up the spiritual power of an infant, it can kill her.
- So?
- So, we shinigami are not allowed to hurt living beings, or did you forget that?
- You become more and more like her with every day, it's beginning to irritate me…
- It's good that at least one of us still remembers her… Anyway, we can't block off her powers and we can't take her to Seiretei… what do we do?
- Well… I think we should assign someone as a guard to watch over her… this level of reyatsu will definitely attract lots of hollows.
- I guess a barrier would be a good idea as well…
With that the two Death Gods left for their own dimension, not knowing what sort of fate awaited the infant they discovered...
[A/N: Well, this is myfirst story, so I would really like to get reviews to know if I'm actually writing something interesting.... This will be based on an anime called "Shin Shirayuki Hime Densetsu Pretear", though the main character is my own creation... ]
