The thought of dying before getting home ran through Naminé's mind. She wanted out. She wanted out now. After seeing a rude gesture from another driver, Naminé closed her eyes , gripped the sides of the seat, and tried to find her happy place. She imagined laying in her bed with colored pencils sprawled out around her. She was free to draw whatever her little heart desired. The tension in her body eased and Naminé let out a relaxed sigh. The peaceful moment affected her so much that she couldn't even feel the abrupt stop from the brakes.
"Oh please, Naminé, you act like you weren't gonna make it back home." Kairi said as she turned off the car's engine. Once Namine realized that she indeed made it home alive, she quickly unlocked her door and ran outside. She spun around happily in the grass, grateful to be on the ground again.
A smile formed on the elder's lips. She knew that nothing bad was going to happen. Her reckless driving was just an act. A very dangerous act it was. Kairi knew how to drive but she chose to do otherwise. The relieved grin on Naminé's face was worth the risk.
