Happy anniversary to Caramel and Licorice! It's been a while friends. Today, October 6th, 2017, Caramel and Licorice was written by my old cringy self. So, last week, I told myself to make a remembrance one-shot. So I did (finished it today because I'm a procrastinator and school sucks). Don't worry if you don't know what the to heck Caramel and Licorice is. Everything is explained in here if you don't know some of the details from Caramel and Licorice.

Enjoy!!

Hong Kong opened the door to his apartment. He sighed before entering. 'Why is everything changing…' He thought. Hong Kong went in and closed the door. He set his things down on the kitchen table, took his shoes off, and went straight to his room. He flopped onto his bed and closed his eyes.

Hong Kong has been in Hong Kong for the whole summer and most of September doing grueling work. He never had to do so much work in his years as a country. He had to oversee the production of an extremely expensive monorail for China. That really did a blow to his economy and his overall mental state. All the unrest from people who were worried about this country's identity and overall money spent on the project really made him depressed. It wasn't Hong Kong's fault that it happened. It was China's fault. He wanted a monorail to connect Hong Kong and surrounding provinces to connect to Beijing. The audacity of that! There were already enough of those connecting to Beijing. China only wanted another way to keep him under his little thumb. Also, it wouldn't help that Hong Kong had to straight up call out China's shit just to get some help. Really, all he got was some support from America and his siblings. China is even trying to do things to get Taiwan back.

Hong Kong is sick of all of this. He just needs a break.

Hong Kong opened his eyes. He didn't know how long he has been asleep for. He looked over at his alarm clock.

9:24 PM.

Only an hour and a half went by. Hong Kong got up, left his bedroom, and went into the kitchen. He turned on the light and looked over at his pile of stuff on the table. "Better put this stuff away." Hong Kong muttered. He grabbed his manga and placed them into his bookcase. He then hung up his jacket and moved his work onto his desk in his bedroom so he can it complete later. Hong Kong walked into his living room, sat down, and turned on the TV. Some anime was on, so he decided to just watch that.

Hong Kong's apartment wasn't anything special. It was just any another apartment in a big city. Single bedroom, one bathroom, spacious, and pretty expensive. He didn't mind. It had a pretty view of the harbour and most of the city. Also, it was near government buildings and the monorail station. There was plenty of charm in his apartment though that makes his different. It had posters of Bruce Lee and of his favourite animes (*cough* My Hero Academia *cough*) on the walls and shelf's full of books and movies. But the one thing that wasn't like the other things in his apartment was a snow globe from his boyfriend Iceland, given to him for his birthday.

This snow globe was the first gift that Iceland had given him as his boyfriend. It had the snow inside and 2 figures that looked like them. It also says:

To my lovely karamellu, I will always love you. I will love you until this world is gone. Karamellu, Leon, you are my soul mate, my only love, my other half.

Every time Hong Kong read that message, it makes him emotional. Hong Kong hasn't seen Iceland all year due to work and Iceland being busy. They text often, but it isn't the same as seeing each other face to face. It sucks how they live miles away from each other and can't see each other often.

'Hmm…' Hong Kong thought while getting up to make some food. 'Maybe I can go to Iceland.' His schedule had space for 4 days without any meetings or important work. 'Unfortunately, I'll only have one full day to spend with Iceland.' The chink in the armour Ted. But, he was willing to do anything just to get out of Hong Kong. Then he thought of an idea. "How about a surprise?" He said aloud.

Hong Kong finished making his food and sat down at the table. He went onto his phone, looked up flight times for Iceland.

"Oof." He sighed.

The earliest flight was 9:20 AM.

"Alright." Hong Kong pulled up a flight calculator. He would get in Iceland at around 1:30 in the morning. "Iceland would most likely be awake..." But then he thought. 'He has been doing a lot of stuff lately. Maybe he will be very tired and go to bed early.'

Hong Kong finished his food, cleaned up, and walked back to the couch. 'I gotta get Ice's address. But I can't ask Iceland, or it will ruin the surprise.'

'If I ask Norway. He wouldn't tell me, and he would tell Iceland that I asked. He would also go tell me that I'm creepy for asking and tell me that I'm a perv. Denmark would maybe…' Hong Kong shook his head after a moment of thinking. 'Probably tell Norway or Iceland.' "This is a stretch…" He muttered. Hong Kong took out his phone, looked up the number, and dialed it.

A couple of seconds went by until it was picked up.

"Hello?" The person responded. "Who's this?" You can tell by his voice it's early in the morning.

"Hi, Sweden. It's me Hong Kong." Hong Kong said. "Sorry for calling you so early in the morning"

"It's okay. What's the problem?" Sweden asked.

"Can I ask you something? Don't tell anyone."

"Hmm."

Hong Kong guessed that was his queue to continue. "Can you give me Iceland's address?". 'Please say yes…'.

"You want to visit him is that why you don't want me to tell. Surprise him?"

"Yes." Hong Kong answered.

"I'll give you his address. I won't tell him either."

"Thank you! Is there anything I can repay you with?" Hong Kong asked while getting up to grab a pen and paper to write the address down.

"Just caring for Ice is fine. Just continue doing that and you won't have to repay."

Hong Kong blushed when Sweden said that. He smiled. "I'll always love and care Ice. I promise."

"God. Now here is the address." Sweden told Hong Kong the address. (The word god is pronounced good. God means good in Swedish.)

They said farewell and hung up.

Hong Kong stared at the address. 'I'm going to have to get a taxi from the airport. Going to have to bring some credit cards with me.' He got up, grabbed his wallet, and sat back down. He took out a UnionPay and a JCB card out. Hong Kong grabbed his phone and looked up what type of cards are excepted in Iceland. 'Both of these cards work. K.' He put the JCB card back into his wallet. 'I'll use the UnionPay card since it has a whole bunch of money on it.'

1:50 AM

Hong Kong got finished all of his work. He figured that he should get it done so he didn't have to do when he got back from Iceland. He got up from the desk, went over to his closet, and took out some clothes. Hong Kong placed the clothes on his bed and grabbed a backpack and a small suitcase. He put the clothes in the suitcase and placed the backpack next to the bathroom door. 'I'll pack the rest of my stuff after I wake up.' Hong Kong changed into nightwear, brushed his teeth, and went to bed. He set an alarm for 5:30 so he can wake up and have enough time to take a shower and get his stuff ready.

Hong Kong slept well even though he was nervous about going to Iceland and about his plan working.

5:30 AM

Bzzz. Bzzz. Bzzz.

Hong Kong slowly opened his eyes. He flicked his eyes over to his phone that was on the nightstand. He turned off the annoying alarm and sat up. 'Today's the day.' Hong Kong thought. He rubbed his eyes, getting up. Hong Kong grabbed some clothes, went into the bathroom, and took a shower. Afterwards, he gathered all his things together and went into the kitchen. He grabbed his card and slipped it into the inner pocket of his coat. Hong Kong made a quick breakfast and left around 7:00 to go to the airport.

Once he got there, he paid for his plane ticket and was so goddamn happy that there was a one-way flight to Reykjavik today, if not, he would've been screwed. Hong Kong didn't have to wait long to get on his flight after security and was soon in the air at around 9:25.

'I'm coming Ice.' Hong Kong thought as he looked outside at the clouds rolled across the morning sky. 'You don't have to wait any longer to see me.'

1:10 AM in Iceland time.

The flight landed early. Well crap. Hong Kong knew he had to stall for a good amount of time for this plan to execute to its best ability. He figured he could buy some Nordic candy and other things until it would be a good time to get a taxi. It takes around 15 minutes to get to Iceland's house since it's a bit of a ways out of Reykjavik.

After a good 15 minutes, he decided to walk outside. It was pretty cold outside even though it was September. Hong Kong zipped up his coat and looked up at the sky. He saw how crystal clear and starry it was.

'So beautiful.' He mused. Hong Kong gazed at the parking lot. 'I remember last time I was here.'

The first time Hong Kong came to Iceland, he made a complete fool of himself. What happened was these two rich American boys that were white were being very racist to him while he was on the plane to come to Iceland. Hong Kong decided to teach the alpha a lesson, which he did until the alpha pulled out a switchblade and stabbed him in the gut. The sadist then kicked him in the wound until Iceland had to interfere. Oh! How much did Hong Kong feel stupid for accepting the challenge from the cheating American!

Hong Kong got a taxi and was on his way to Iceland's home. He felt nervous. What if he doesn't open the door? What if he isn't happy to see me? So many what ifs filled his mind. Before he knew it, he was already at his house. Hong Kong paid for the taxi and was walking towards the front door. All the lights were off, and Hong Kong knew that Iceland was most likely asleep. He hesitated for a moment. His nerves were acting up.

"Don't be so nervous! It's just Iceland!" Hong Kong huffed in Cantonese. "Calm down…" He murmured. His body calmed down. He rang the doorbell.

A couple of minutes went by.

Hong Kong knocked on the door. 'Maybe his doorbell doesn't work.' He convinced himself so his nerves don't turn into jumping beans. He saw a light turn on in the kitchen. Hong Kong started to get excited.

The door opened to a familiar face.

Iceland blinked a couple of times. He then realized who it was. "Leon? Leon!" He tackled his boyfriend into a hug.

"Emil!" Hong Kong met the hug with the same enthusiasm.

They slowly pulled out of the hug.

"Come inside." Iceland offered. He moved out of the way and closed the door once Hong Kong was inside. Iceland saw the backpack and suitcase that Hong Kong had.

Hong Kong noticed Iceland's look. "I only have today to hang out with you." There was a tone of sadness in his voice. He took off his backpack and his coat.

Iceland hugged him again. "I don't care. Being with you is all I want right now."

Hong Kong blushed. "You're so cute." He laughed and wrapped his arms around his love. "I missed you." Hong Kong started spinning Iceland around in his arms.

Iceland started laughing as he was spun around. He was then put down after a couple of moments. "Dumpling. You missed me that much?"

"Of course I would." Hong Kong chuckled. He leaned in and kissed Iceland on the lips.

Iceland smiled into the kiss and pulled away. "Love ya!"

"Love ya too!" Hong Kong said back.

Iceland yawned.

"Sleepy?"

"Well, you did wake me up." Iceland joked. "I was in good sleep."

"How else am I supposed to go to into your house?" Hong Kong giggled.

"You could've broken in through the window." Iceland suggested.

"Bruh!"

Iceland laughed again. "I'm just kidding! I would of freaking killed you if you were to do that." He started going towards the direction of the stairs.

"I don't want to get killed by you so I rang the doorbell." Hong Kong grabbed his stuff and followed Iceland. "What took you so long?"

"I didn't want to get out of bed."

"Then I knocked on the door. You took long to answer."

They were in the bedroom.

Iceland shrugged. He went under the covers and watched Hong Kong get clothes out of his suitcase. Iceland closed his eyes and sighed.

After a couple of minutes, Hong Kong joined Iceland in the bed.

"Ice." Hong Kong whispered into Iceland's ear. "Tell me why you took a couple of moments to answer the door."

Iceland shifted so he was facing Hong Kong. "Well…" He began. "It's because I was nervous."

"Why?"

"Because I got in a fight with Norway and I thought he was coming over to apologize or something." Iceland confessed.

Hong Kong wrapped his arms around Iceland and started petting his head.

Iceland relaxed as he felt the massaging fingers on top of his head.

"What was the fight about?" Hong Kong gently asked.

"Something very embarrassing." Iceland answered while his face began to heat up. "Norway was trying to 'coerce' me into calling him big brother."

Hong Kong started laughing.

Iceland playfully punched him in the chest. "It's not that funny!"

"Yes it is!" Hong Kong smiled.

Iceland pursed his lips. But soon started giggling at Hong Kong's laughter.

"I have no idea why I was upset." Iceland said between his laughs.

They slowly calmed down.

"That's the most I've laughed this year! I don't think I can go to sleep!"

"Same!" Iceland agreed happily. He looked into Hong Kong's eyes. Iceland leaned in and kissed Hong Kong.

They were kissing until…

"Could y'all shut up!" Mr. Puffin squawked at the two lovebirds. He was glaring at them on the footboard. "I'm trying to sleep."

They broke the kiss unwantingly.

"Leave!" Iceland protested. He started saying things in Icelandic at the puffin.

Hong Kong just laid there and watched.

"Fine, I'll leave. But don't be loud while y'all are doing things in bed." Mr. Puffin cawed.

Hong Kong and Iceland blushed. That sentence came out wrong.

"…hehe…" Mr. Puffin sneered. He knew what he said.

"Goddammit!" Iceland yelled and chased the bird out of the bedroom. He came back and went back into the bed.

They were silent.

"I have a question karamellu." Iceland began. He gazed into his lover's eyes.

"What?" Hong Kong asked.

"Do you like our relationship?" Iceland inquired. He was serious.

"Yeah." Hong Kong answered. "Why wouldn't I?"

"Well… Norway thinks you aren't serious since you havent visited me all year."

"It's not like I didn't want to see you. I've been busy with country business. I can't neglect my duties." Hong Kong stated. "He shouldn't be giving you doubts."

"He has been. I only wanted to make sure." Iceland looked away from Hong Kong.

Hong Kong grabbed Iceland's hands which caused Iceland to look at him. "We promised that we would love each other no matter what."

"I know." Iceland agreed.

"I mean it. I'm sorry that I can't always be around."

"It's ok."

"It's not though."

Iceland frowned.

"I hate that I'm never around. I hate that I can't spend nights like this with you all the time. I'm just…" He stopped. "Sorry." Some tears went down his face.

Iceland was silent. He moved his hand up to cup Hong Kong cheek. He moved his thumb to wipe the tears on Hong Kong's face. "It's fine karamellu. I know that you hate not having much time with me. I hate it too. But's fine."

Hong Kong blinked a couple of times. "Okay." He understood what Iceland was saying.

"Now, let's go to sleep shall we." Iceland smiled.

"Yeah." Hong Kong nodded. He sniffled and Iceland moved into his head into his chest.

They cuddled until they were too sleepy to keep their eyes open.

The mornin'…

Iceland opened his eyes, letting the light from the window go into his eyes. He shifted slightly.

Mr. Puffin was sitting on his belly looking at him.

"What do you want?" Iceland asked impolitely.

"Nothing." Mr. Puffin continued to stare at Iceland.

"Hvað viltu?" Iceland asked again. (What do you want In Icelandic.)

"I want to make a deal with you friend." Mr. Puffin said while trying to impersonate a mafioso. "It would be one with many benefits." He was waving his wings around as he was talking.

"No. I don't want a deal."

"But's it's one worthwhile." Mr. Puffin persuaded. "One you can't refuse."

"Fine. What is it?" Iceland sighed. This bird would go one for hours and annoy the heck out of Iceland.

"I'll leave you two alone for the day if…"

"If I do what?"

"You call Norway big brother and me the 'Godfather of the Puffins'."

"No." Iceland said.

"That's the deal Iceland." Mr. Puffin reminded. "A deal you can't-"

"Refuse. I know." Iceland cut the bird off.

"Just accept the deal." Mr. Puffin whined. "We can't sit here and argue with your boyfriend right next to you."

Iceland huffed.

"We accept." Hong Kong spoke.

This startled both Mr. Puffin and Iceland.

"Why you guys acting like you saw a ghost." Hong Kong frowned.

"We though you were asleep and then you just randomly said that." Iceland explained. "Also… why did you accept the deal!?"

"Because I want to! Also, we can't have alone time without that bird!"

"Ay! I'm the 'Godfather of Puffins' to you." Mr. Puffin defended.

"We accepted now leave us alone!" Iceland got out of the bed and opened the window.

Mr. Puffin flew out of the house and off towards the forest.

Iceland sighed and closed the window. He looked over at Hong Kong. "We're alone now without that mafioso want to be."

"Yup!" Hong Kong smiled. "Haha, I was smart for accepting."

"I beg to differ but it's okay." Iceland went back into the bed and looked at the clock. "It's 2:30 pm"

"Eh really. It feels later."

"Probably because you're from a different time zone."

"Can we just stay in bed and sleep?" Hong Kong asked bringing the blanket up to his neck.

"No. We got to do something fun since this is the only day you're going to be here." Iceland suggested.

Hong Kong thought for a couple of moments until he got an idea. "We watch two iconic romance movies."

"Hmm… that sounds like a good idea." Iceland agreed. "Which movies?"

"The Notebook and Titanic."

"They made a romance movie about a sinking ship." Iceland gave Hong Kong a puzzled look.

"Yeah… but it's romantic because of the characters, not about the idea of a boat sinking." Hong Kong explained.

"Okay."

They got ready and were downstairs eating breakfast. After eating, they went on Netflix and started watching the movies. They first watched The Notebook.

After watching it…

"That's so sad." Iceland commented. "They were in love with each other, broke up, Allie got married, found Noah and they fell in love with each other. Then, they die together in the hospital."

"Yeah, it is." Hong Kong agreed. "But, the message is simple but used well."

"That true love conquers all. That people can't be separated and always love each other." Iceland smiled. "Like us in some way. We never let anything get in the way of our love."

"Making it very cheesy Ice."

"Right." Iceland made a sideways look at Hong Kong. "Silly…" He kissed his boyfriend on the cheek. "Now on to the sinking ship."

"Onwards!"

They watched the Titanic. They watched Rose and Jack go on their weird romantic adventure on the British passenger ship. And leads to a debate about the last scene of the movie.

"So Jack freezes in the water while Rose is nice and safe on top of a door." Iceland frowned. "They could have taken turns on the door."

Afterwards, they got into the car to go to restaurant.

As they were in the car, they continued taking about Titanic.

"But that would have ruined the scene completely." Hong Kong said back. "It wouldn't show how much Jack cares about Rose."

"Taking turns also would have been showing how selfless Jack is." Iceland said while turning off the ignition.

They got out the car.

"How though? Without Jack sacrificing himself for Rose, then it wouldn't show selfless he is." Hong Kong argued. "He let Rose stay alive by letting her stay on the door."

"At the end, Rose is crying over losing Jack because she was selfish for not thinking about him. If they took turns staying sitting on the door, then Rose wouldn't be all sad and they could be together until they die later in life." Iceland retorted.

Hong Kong opened the door to the restaurant. "Hmm. You made a point there."

They got a table and sat down. The restaurant was Resto. The first restaurant that Hong Kong had been to in Iceland. It was also the first date of their relationship. The restaurant is one of the top 10 romantic restaurants in Reykjavik.

"Would you sacrifice yourself for me Leon?" Iceland asked.

"Of course I would. I would have been Jack and sacrificed myself since I'm a selfless person." Hong Kong answered. "Would you say we take turns."

Iceland laughed. "No. I just wanted to debate with you."

The waitress came over. But it was the same girl from the last time they were there. She insulted the both of them after finding out they were together after trying to hitting on Hong Kong.

"Oh, you guys." She scoffed. She looked over at Hong Kong. "You still with this guy?"

Hong Kong gave her a cold look. "Got a problem with that, Kristen?"

The waitress blinked a couple of seconds and shivered. "How you know my name gaysian?"

"It's literally on your uniform." Hong Kong answered. "Now, are you going to let us order?"

Kristen looked away from Hong Kong and glared at Iceland. "What do want to drink Rice queen?"

Iceland snorted. "Rice queen? Okay, Kristen."

Kristen made a confused face. She was trying to insult him.

"I'll like some coke." Iceland said calmly.

She forced out a smile like her boss was watching and turned to Hong Kong. "And you?"

"A coke as well." Hong Kong answered with a hint of amusement in his voice.

"Great. I'll get those right away." She spoke through her teeth and walked away.

Iceland covered his mouth and started to giggle.

"She hasn't improved her vocabulary of offensive names at all." Hong Kong giggled.

"Yeah. She called me Rice queen. That's barely an insult." Iceland agreed.

"Gaysian. So insulting."

Kristen walked back and gave them their drinks. "You guys ready to order your food?"

"Yes, I think we're ready to order Kristen." Hong Kong responded and said her name in Cantonese.

Her mouth twitched with triggeredness. "Well, that's great. What would you guys want?" She questioned while her face had pure 'I'm going to cut you guys'.

Hong Kong ordered his food while having complete glee in his voice. Iceland also ordered his food.

"I get your food as soon as it's done." Kristen walked away.

"Hong Kong." Iceland whispered.

"What?" Hong Kong asked. He looked at Iceland's unhappy face.

"Why are you enjoying this so much?" Iceland questioned with slight disappointment in it. He wasn't exactly liking how Hong Kong was acting.

"I'm just messing with her. No harm in that." Hong Kong answered nonchalantly. He shrugged. "Can't I have a little bit of fun."

"Aren't you going too far." Iceland said. "We were only playing with her. You shouldn't have insulted her."

"There's nothing wrong with that." Hong Kong said with confusion in it.

Iceland sighed and looked out the window.

"Ice." Hong Kong reached out and touched his hand.

Iceland glanced at Hong Kong for a second and moved his hand to his lap.

Hong Kong frowned at the rejection. He was only playing with Kristen just out of amusement of her actions. He didn't mean to hurt Iceland's feelings. "Ice I'm-" he was cut off from Iceland's phone ringing.

Iceland grabbed his phone and looked at it. "I got to take this. Be right back." He made a small smile of reassurance and left the restaurant.

Hong Kong felt alone, not the fact that Iceland wasn't there, but that he was rejected by Iceland. 'I made a mistake.' He frowned and looked down. Hong Kong looked up at the person who was in front of the table. "Hello Kristen."

"Sorry." She apologized. "If I caused that." Kristen meant those words.

"It's not your fault. It's mine." Hong Kong stated. "I'm sorry for being rude to you."

"Hmm." Kristen sighed. "I'm sorry for calling you those names. Today and last year."

"I'm sorry for saying your name like that and taking delight from messing with you."

"I apologize for everything."

"Same."

They both smiled and laughed at each other's strange chat.

Iceland came back over and tilted his head at the odd exchange of the two. He sat down.

"I'm sorry to the both of you." Kristen apologized and walked away.

"What was that about?" Iceland asked.

"We both apologized to each other about how we were acting." Hong Kong told Iceland.

"Did you do this for me." Iceland said.

"She saw you leave and came over and said sorry because she thought you left because of me." Hong Kong explained. "Then we both apologized."

"Oh. Heh. Norway no sorry." He paused and started blushing hard. "Big brother called me about our fight and immediately started laughing when I called him big brother. So embarrassing."

Hong Kong started giggled.

"It's not funny!" Iceland protested.

"Yes it is."

"Do you ever call China or England big brother?" Iceland retorted, getting an immediate blush from Hong Kong.

"Touché." Hong Kong simply said. "Only England though when I was young."

Iceland gave a victorious chuckle.

Kristen came over with their food. She placed it down in front of the boys. "Njóta!" Kristen smiled with happiness all over face. (Enjoy in Icelandic.)

"Thank you!" Hong Kong and Iceland said together.

After enjoying their dinner they drove back home. The whole time Hong Kong was looking up at the sky.

"Ice. Can we look at the stars tonight?" Hong Kong requested. He looked over at his boyfriend.

"Sure." Iceland responded with a small smile on his face. "It would be like last year."

"Yeah." Hong Kong agreed.

When they got back to Iceland's house, they grabbed some blankets and went into Iceland's backyard. Iceland laid one of the blankets down and they sat down on it. Hong Kong wrapped the other blanket around him and Iceland.

Stargazing is very special to them both. Hong Kong confessed his love to Iceland under the stars.

"The sky is so pretty." Hong Kong commented. He wrapped his arm around Iceland's body.

"Yeah, they are." Iceland nodded. He placed his head on Hong Kong's shoulder. "It's more enjoyable to look at the stars with you."

"It is." Hong Kong looked over at Iceland. "I love you."

Iceland looked at Hong Kong and smiled. "I love you too."

"Your eyes twinkle like this sky. You are these stars. So beautiful, so shine in the darkest of skies, and, you are so precious." Hong Kong complimented. "I never see the stars in Hong Kong, and when I see stars, they remind me of how special you are." He saw that Iceland was crying.

Iceland sniffled. "Those words are so sweet Hong Kong. I'm glad that you've told me this. I'm glad that we're stargazing together."

"I'm glad too." Hong Kong leaned in kissed Iceland.

The kiss was of pure love and warmth for each other. They eventually broke the kiss. Iceland and Hong Kong were both crying. Iceland reached out his hand and wiped the tears from Hong Kong's face. Hong Kong did the same to Iceland.

"I love you." They both said in unison.

They went back inside after 30 minutes of stargazing and went to bed. Iceland insisted that Hong Kong go to bed so he can have enough sleep for when he leaves the next morning. Hong Kong agreed and they went to bed.

5:00 am

Iceland shook Hong Kong. He waited until he saw Hong Kong opened his eyes to get ready.

"I don't want to get up." Hong Kong complained. He watched Iceland change his clothes. "Can I just get a later flight?"

Iceland finished getting his pants on. He gave Hong Kong an annoyed look. "Don't make me act like a mother or something."

Hong Kong huffed and closed his eyes. He heard Iceland go into the bathroom. Hong Kong made a content sigh as he felt his body felt warm and comfy.

Iceland walked back inside the bedroom after brushing his teeth. He groaned at Hong Kong's closed eyes. 'Now to turn into a mother trying to wake up their teenager .' Iceland thought. He walked over to the light switch. "Wakey-Wakey." He called.

Hong Kong ignored the wake-up sign.

"Wakey-WAKE!" Iceland flicked the light switch and the lights turned on.

"Ice!" Hong Kong grumbled. "Let me get 5 more minutes of sleep."

"No!" Iceland argued. "Your flight is at 7:00. You got to get ready now."

"No. I'm going to sleep." Hong Kong moved the blanket to cover his face.

Iceland narrowed his eyes. "Godfather of Puffins. Please take care of Leon Kirkland for me please."

Hong Kong got up. "Hell nah! Im not getting attacked by a puffin!" He got out of bed and went over to his suitcase. He changed his clothes and went into the bathroom.

Iceland laughed mischievously and left the room. He walked downstairs and sat on the couch. 'Mr. Puffin isn't even here.' Iceland looked down at his phone.

Hong Kong walked downstairs. He snuck up behind Iceland. Hong Kong grabbed Iceland shoulders. "Ya tricked me!"

"Ahh!" Iceland yelled. He was startled. "I wanted you to get up. How else was I supposed to?"

Hong Kong chuckled and sat down next Iceland. "You're going to have to repay me."

"Why should I? You refused to get up and I used my resources." Iceland argued.

"It's only a kiss." Hong Kong insisted. "That's all you're going to repay me with."

"Ugh fine." Iceland pecked Hong Kong on the lips.

"Thank you." Hong Kong got up and grabbed his stuff. "Let's get going."

Iceland put his shoes on and grabbed his car keys.

They left and got to the airport 20 minutes later. They sat there for a couple of moments.

"Well…" Hong Kong started. "I'm going to miss you Ice." He looked over at Iceland.

"I'm going to miss you too, karamellu." Iceland agreed.

They got out of the car and walked to the airport. They stopped in front of the doors.

Iceland faced Hong Kong and hugged him. "I love you."

"I love you too." Hong Kong hugged him back. Hong Kong pulled out of the hug and kissed Iceland.

They kissed for a couple of moments.

Hong Kong broke the kiss. "I got to go catch my flight back home." He hugged Iceland one last time. "Bye Emil, I love you."

"Bye Leon, I love you too." Iceland said back. He watched Hong Kong walked away.

Hong Kong got on the flight and the whole time he thought about Iceland. He was going to miss him.

Hong Kong got back to Hong Kong at around 3:00 in the morning. He took the monorail back home. Hong Kong walked over to his apartment door.

'A familiar sight.' He thought. This time he didn't sigh a sigh of complaint. Hong Kong opened the door and walked inside. He locked the door and walked into his bedroom. He set down his stuff and laid down on his bed. After a couple of moments, he got took a shower and went into his bed. Hong Kong laid there for a couple of moments when his phone vibrated on his nightstand. He grabbed it checked who texted him.

"Good night karamellu :3" Iceland texted him.

Hong Kong smiled.

"Night Ice :3" Hong Kong texted back.

Hong Kong placed the phone back onto the table. He turned over and look outside.

In the sky, there were a couple of bright dots.

"Good night Iceland." Hong Kong told the stars.

"Good night Hong Kong." Iceland told those same stars.

Good night karamellu.

Good night gāncǎo.

When I wrote the beginning of this, the information about Hong Kong was a current event. Hong Kong built a monorail connecting Beijing and the Guangdong province and the cities in it (includes Hong Kong). It went about 30% over the intended the budget set for the construction of it. Also, to top that, China is in charge of the monorail. Many citizens felt that it was a mistake to build it and threatened Hong Kong's culture.
