Author's Note! This is very important so please read!

For my creative writing class we read a one act play by Samuel Beckett called Not I. The teacher then asked us to write a nonsense poem that could have been like the Jabberwocky (by C.S Lewis), be to a tune, anything. So I asked if I could write something like Not I and she said yes. When I wrote this it was originally nonsense and just about a random person killing themselves because they were crazy for some unknown reason. Then I reread it and thought "Hmm, this is kinda similiar to the end of Secret Window (both movie & book)" so I rewrote it so it would fit the movie. This, of course, has an ending different than the movie and the book. Well, similiar to the book. But anyway, I found it in my notebook so enjoy.

OH! Another note! Please don't get mad if this isn't really "poetry" because I haven't the slightest has how you write it because I can't stand it. I just read this in front of the class and the teacher didn't object so I'm assuming this fits some type of poetry. Now I'm done :)

The Imaginary Becomes Real

Running, racing, too many

It wasn't loaded

It was

You wanted to

It wasn't loaded

Too many thoughts, too little time

Coming, running, walking

Getting closer

The footsteps, the laughter

He's coming

I didn't do it

Yes you did

They told

The clanking of his boots

The accent

It was mine

Always

He's a liar

He's not real

I grabbed it

The door slammed, he's here

He's not real

I tried to stop

It was too strong

The imaginary becomes real

He doesn't exist

I'm not crazy

He doesn't exist

I saw him

He doesn't exist

You killed them

He killed them

You had to

He did it

Did he?

The imaginary becomes real

He doesn't exist

Or does he?

The imaginary becomes real

The ending is the most important part

I raise it to stop him

This one is perfect

Bang.

Whoo! Amazing right? Ha, ha, ha. Anyway if it doesn't make sense to you, it's ok, it's not supposed to :)

Well my lovely teacher had us write another nonsense poem different from the one we've written. So if you want to read that (still a nonsense poem) please go to the link here : http:// www. fictionpress .com /s/2728670/1/The_Cheerful_Poem

Minus all of the spaces of course :)
