Adara Mellark was not a very glamourous person yet here she was, in a long blue dress that was too tight and and her hair in an updo that hurt her head. Here she was, on deck of Caesar Flickerman now! Waiting for her cue to come on stage and do an interview that would consist of acting like she was just narcissistic little person that cared nothing of other people and only herself.
Her mother had said that the public had taken an interest in her even while she was still a fetus, and it grew more and more as she got older. It nearly quadrupled by the time she was 18, meaning her mother couldn't stop the cameras from hoarding her, legally anyway.
It got to the breaking point when for about a month anytime she went outside, the cameras followed. Adara's mother got so fed up that she decided to do a little research to find out who had essentially sicced cameras and lenses and lights on her poor, helpless, 19 year old daughter (which basically means she held the camera man at arrow-point until he gave the information) Imagine Katniss's surprise when she found out that it was none other than Plutarch Heavensbee, secretary of communications. Katniss called Plutarch, and "kindly" asked him to stop sending the cameras to film her daughter walking down the street,among other things, The former gamemaker proceeded to then remind her that she has no legal rights over Adara anymore, because she was 19. Adara then talked to Plutarch and worked out a deal, promising a interview in exchange for sending the cameras away from her and district 12.
3 weeks later she was shipped off to the capitol, driven to the TV studio, which was just the old training center revamped into something less Hunger Games-y. After she was plucked,waxed and brushed into perfection, she was out into a blue dress which she was told was one Cinna, her mother's friend and stylist first designs and she should be proud to be wearing it. unfortunately, said dress was meant to bring out her "curves" and that meant she count breathe, it didn't help that she was also wearing a corset that was 1 size too tight. 3 hours later her she was, any second they would call her. "HERE SHE IS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER THE DAUGHTER OF OUR GIRL ON FIRE ADARA MELLARRRK"
