Firefly Tears

Firefly Tears

Fly, little firefly;

Fly to the sky.

Fly, my little firefly

From those who made you cry.

The moon is shining,

My lovely firefly.

Fly upward on your delicate,

Black wings,

Fragile firefly.

Smile, my dark firefly.

Your darkness conceals

Your weak body.

Don't cry, tiny firefly.

It is not you

Who causes destruction.

You cannot

Control

Your other self.

Ignore them,

My little insect.

Their laughter thinly disguises

Their fear of you.

The very air

Of you

Heals,

Beautiful firefly,

But you can't

Figure out why

You destroy with the same breath.

Your wings are not

Real,

My fair firefly.

You do not

Want

Them to know about

The parts of your body

That

Blood does not flow

Through.

Sigh,

My lonely firefly.

Just because you

Can

Bring about the

End

Does not mean you

Want to.

She's coming,

My silent firefly.

She will take your

Body

And lead the way for Death

Into this world.

She is you.

Laugh, my mysterious firefly,

Just try.

The truth is,

My sweet firefly,

If they

Have to know,

This

Whole world has got

To go.

Silence prevails.

They have chosen,

My innocent firefly,

Their messenger

Of Death.

You are the Messiah.

But proud

You are

Not.

You cannot escape

Your fate,

My suffering firefly.

They will seek you

No matter where

You run.

Flitting gently

Upwards,

My luminant

Firefly,

From the Earth to

The Moon,

The great, bright

Shiny light,

You missed

Your own

Glow

Behind you.
